Guest guest
Dear Raman: I know your predicament. I must have over a dozen hitting my email each day, and sometimes, I too, feel very overwhelmed. I've learned though I have to go by those emails that are interesting in the subject line. And the rest I put in folders for future use if I have time. And I do send my daily Star Reports to the Jyotish Remedies group, but I'd still strongly suggest you try it for a few days. You can always...turn it off if you get you get too many emails. But, I envision, this as a very significant group. It'll be a great place to discuss both Jyotish and Western Astrology. Also, there's a great need to show how these two great systems can be blended...to even create a very new and exciting modern science of Astrology... I'll send you, below, an email I just did in response to someone's question about how these two, such diverse Astrological groups could be united. take care We'd love to have you. Have enjoyed your emails, from other groups and enjoy how you think! I can not participate as much as I want. I am afraid to join the third group. But me and people like me will appreciate if you find something very interesting repost them in our dear group jyotish_tat_sat regards! Raman Here's a fascinating question....just received today.... > "hagazussah" <hagazussa (AT) chello (DOT) nl> > > Fri, 02 Apr 2004 18:57:58 -0000 > > Thanks for the invitation > > Hello Mark and all, > > Thanks for inviting me to this forum. > I am quite new to the vedic astrology, but quite familiar with the > western astrology, so the bridge between them could make sense to > me. How can you blend in > these theories? > > Anne Dear Anne: Yours is a very good question. I think something like nature's astrology could really help, because we all see a common thread in Nature, herself. Look at modern Science. 300 years, ago there was just this mess of different people's with all their beliefs, and ideas, theories and convictions. And along came this 'idea'...to look to nature, to help resolve conflicts. Though I'm sure that road, was very bitterly walked back then. Just reading about the tension that existed between those that thought the world was flat! or the center of the Universe, and the new notions, that the World is indeed, round, and not!, the center of the Universe. Today, there's so many exciting new horizons, and developments, going on. Astrology is just one of the many interesting fields. I've especially liked it, because it has represented a great opportunity to unite all the diverse views of reality. I first started studying Jyotish in 1988, so about 16 years ago and once I got through all the books I could, I turned to what are called the Transits. I started watching the day to day events but from the point of view of the Jyotish chart....of that day! And literally, Nature blew me away. I had no idea you could discover Astrology,....literally in the sky! Well, even after a couple of months, I knew something new and exciting was happening to me. In Nature, we have a great, common 'medium', in which to look at all Astrological ideas. One of the most important, is, that this 'something', would encourage what I believe is a real, need for a new, emergence of a True, Science of Astrology... Nature, is the key. When you watch the Transits, even personally, or individually, you can experience 'Astrology'. You can feel them. You can see them, the details, happening in the real lives of yourself, your friends, co-workers, even the entire World...lives Astrology. We live in an Astrological Universe! So, to go around pretending that Astrology is just some past tomfoolery, is ridiculous. I'll give you an example. One time I was watching the Moon move into the same part of the sky as Saturn. And this was true in both Western & Eastern Astrologys, by the way. Even Modern Astronomy agrees on these 'real' natural movements of the Sun, Stars & Planets. But, then, I noticed, that I could really 'feel' that Moon & Saturn 'conjunction'. I couldn't help noticing the Saturine influece upon the emotions, the mind, the heart. I felt that heavy, sad, intense kind of experience, which is a definite Saturn signification. And it lasted for two days, about the time, necessary to pass into another Sign. Then, for the next few days, I felt relief. Ahhh, the Moon is moving away from Saturn! But, then, the Moon moved into the next Sign, which according to Jyotish, is 3 Houses away from Saturn. Which is one of the Principles of Jyotish/Astrological 'Aspects', and that same, darn, Saturn quality came back. Though it didn't seem quite as intense as when they were literally; Moon & Saturn, on top of each other...but...you could really feel it! Then, I knew the ideas, even the Principles of Astrology could be verified... First within me...and then, later, realizing that even Science could study these real, happenings. One study that I'd love to help get started, would be regarding the Moon. Astrology, both Western & Eastern, says the size of the Moon, on the day of birth, will be indicative of a person's emotional nature, and stability! This includes such things as emotional maturity, sensitivity, even 'intuition' are effected by the literal size of the Moon! Think of how easy it would be to test out this theory. Find 1,000 people, don't even tell them you're studying Astrology, and give them an established battery of questions regarding emotional stability. I'd bet you a million dollars! hehe, that we'd find an extremely stastically high correlation between their Charts, and their Moons and their real lives. I've seen this happen so often now, for all these years. In fact I have never found a person, who their Jyotish/ didn't really profoundly explain their lives. This is, in fact, the first theme of a book I'm writing on Astrology called the Stars Within! That there is this very profound, literal '1 to 1 Correspondence' between all the details of our Astrology, and our real lives.... This is predictable...and therefore verifiable. Let's all resolve to learn this great knowledge...and help others learn it... and participate in creating a truely, modern, and practical...Science of Astrology! thanks for joining and shareing!
