Dear Prashant:

 

 

 

Looking at his chart, he has several 'inward' type qualities which are

probably why he's so interested in meditation.

 

He has Saturn in the first house.

 

Sani's the principle planet of 'inwardness'....

 

And Sani fully aspects the Moon, which is the primary planet of the mind...

and so much interest in the Sani, Shiva...aspect of life.

 

And finally Jupiter, the other great 'Spiritual' planet is in the 12 House,

which is the house of the 'transcendental Reality'....

 

So, he gains or expands...through transcendence....

 

Finally, as to your question is he an ascetic?

 

He has actually both tendencies, there....

 

He has all those inward, spiritual or ascetic qualities we mentioned above,

and yet, Moon in the 7th House is often associated with someone who wants to

engage in 'relationships', and/or marriage too.

 

Also, all those planets in the 10th & 11th Houses...are often associated

with house holders....

 

So, his planets are pretty split, therefore he gets to decide...

if he wants to live a relative life or a life based on spiritual

advancement.

 

Though, this isn't to say, both can't be lived, simultaneously...

 

I know many householders who meditate, and are enjoying great progress and

spiritual advancement along with their householder path.

 

Unfortunately he has these major malefic aspects to 'partnerships/marriage'

which he should understand otherwise his 'partnerships'....marriage or

business will be full of karmic...vs...dharmic...realities..

 

Both Sani and Mars fully aspect the 7th House of partnerships, so some very

important lessons there.

 

And debt can come from Sani there, and especially the 12th House lord, Sun,

lord of 'debt'...is in the 11th House...

 

However, I have a very positive and growth oriented approach to Jyotish.

 

One of my greatest insights into Jyotish has been that the Malefics in our

charts are not just symbolic of our challenges and problems....

 

But, they're also symbolic of the Jyotish solutions that we've come to

achieve!

 

Take Sani for example. Though it is often described in terms of it's

negative or malefic delaying and loss qualities...

 

ie. delays and disappointments in marriage and in partnerships.... still it

also represents the opportunity....to grow....in terms of patience, balance

.....and deep silence....

 

So, his attraction to meditation...is a great....Jyotish remedy....

especially to Sani....

 

Like that each Malefic needs to be understood and neutralized, and even

transformed from it's malefic situation...into a strength...too!

 

His strongest benefic situations are Mercury in Gemini, in his 10th House,

and Venus there...and Moon, even in the 7th House,... can be a very good

place as it represents good receptivity and openness to not only

partnerships...but 'all others'....
