Guest guest
Dear Kishore, I visited your site and liked what you are attempting. Keep it up. A few things can be debated but our history before alexander is a bit patchy and scriptures are sometimes contradictory. You'll find some well researched and fairly authentic information in "The Cultural Heritage of India" published by the Ramakrishna Mission - 7 huge volumes!! While talking about scriptures, do go through Uddhava Gita, taught by Krishna again, just before he left this world to his chela Uddhava. Almost same as Bhagavadgita but more peaceful surroundings and verses. I like it better tha BG. By the way, Avadhoota Geeta is the oldest and the 1st to actually propagate the advaita philosophy in writing. Its one of the most beautiful scriptures I ever read. You'll find most of these in the Advaita Ashram Publications stalls - and dead cheap, very accurate & comentary by very good knowkedgeble swamis. By the way, while writing on my Andhra, you missed the most important info. Prahlada and Hiranya kashyapa - both in the hills of Vizag(Visakhapattanam). That was Lord Vishnu's 1st avatara on land, in dwapara yuga, the other 3 before that were in water to save the sinking earth. Even the last known Vishnu avatara, Lord Venkateswara, was also in Andhra. I have a site - www.astrojyoti.com. You'll find a lot of information on astrology, stotras, mantras, misconceptions etc. I have also put the full version fo Bhagavd Gita, Ramacharita Manas an 12 major astrology sastras on site. I am creating a free astro-religious library. Any one willing to help in this project is welcome to contact me at sptata With best wishes Pandit S.P.Tata - "kishore_future" <kishore_future <Mahabharat> Sunday, February 29, 2004 1:13 PM [Mahabharat] links on vedas > dear frends, > > I have revived my pages on Vedas with new information. > > I welcome you all to enjoy my pages and suggest improvisions and > corrections... > > www.geocities.com/siva_sai19/vedas > > I also have a page on purusha suktam: > > www.geocities.com/siva_sai19/purusha > > hope you will enjoy the visit.. > > regards > > kishore ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ > Welcome to the Mahabharat Study group on the internet ! > "Mahabharat - What is not in it , is nowhere !
