Guest guest
Hi Flick, You should have been a physician or a surgeon , how come you got into writing? Any way you do stand to gain by writing. This year itself you might get your novel accepted if a person , who has been close to your father , could help you . Or instead , a lady whom you respect as a sister , could come to your help. The problem with you has been that you get a surge of thought, and you are very enthusiastic to give them a creative shape , so much so that at times it might tell upon your health , but in the end you can't retain the stability , or lets say sustain the initial gusto. Your natural instinct would be to write about intense human emotions and feelings in the romantic canvas , but I am afraid ,it may not lead you to success. Instead , if you write murder , suspense , spy thrillers and court scenes ; you might be successful and gain financially. The other subject you could write about, and get famous , would be of hospitals ,patients ,suffering , pain and death ; relationships tested in times of misery. Arthur Hailley hasn't written a book on hospitals , or has he? Why don't you try writing one yourself? Of the anger and energy you have , drop the anger ; and then see how things unfold for you. bhuwan ps: just random thoughts from a beginner into vedic astrology , Flick <rubysun@n...> wrote: > Thanks Sanjay, you're very kind. Guest guest
Dear bhuwan, It's very sweet of you to have a go at looking at this for me, and I very much appreciate it. I'll reply to your points one at a time below, so that (as you say you're a beginner) will hopefully help you too :-) On 3/3/04 11:35 am, "bhuwanvashishtha" <bhuwanvashishtha wrote: > Hi Flick, > You should have been a physician or a surgeon , how come you got > into writing? LOL I could never have been a doctor as I have absolutely no ability with maths! You were being fooled by Sun and Mars in 6th (though actually my father was in the armed forces and wanted to be a doctor...see the sun/6th/9th connection here) )You can see the writing ability if you look at 3rd and 9th. Mercury rules 3rd and is in 6th in Sagittarius (possibility of earning a living by writing...which I already do as I have four books published and a fifth about to be, plus two translated into foreign languages), which in turn is ruled by 9th house ruler Jupiter. Moon is in 10th forming Gaja Kesari Yoga with Jupiter, indicating working for oneself in career, with Jupiter again suggesting writing and spirituality (I am also an astrologer and tarot reader). >Any way you do stand to gain by writing. This year > itself you might get your novel accepted if a person , who has been > close to your father , could help you . Well, with all that Mars and Aries in my chart and with Mars and Mercury combust, it's true that I function on enthusiasm. However, I am also a perfectionist and always finish my books to a high standard. > > Your natural instinct would be to write about intense human emotions > and feelings in the romantic canvas , This is very true (you've been looking at my Venus in Scorpio in fifth!) >but I am afraid ,it may not > lead you to success. I don't have any interest at all in those. However, my problem with my novel is that it has a strong spiritual background, and publishers are not interested in that. My spirituality is the most dominant theme in my life and most important to me of all things, so I can't write a novel without that ingredient. > > Of the anger and energy you have , drop the anger ; and then see how > things unfold for you. I'm actually quite a patient person. When I get angry, it's over very quickly and I don't hold grudges. I don't get depressed, so no bottled up anger...when I was younger I had spectacular tempers, but I grew out of them a long time ago. > > bhuwan > > ps: just random thoughts from a beginner into vedic astrology I appreciate your kindness and effort very much. > > , Flick <rubysun@n...> wrote: >> Thanks Sanjay, you're very kind. Guest guest
To add to this: Mars is raja yoga karaka, bringing the positive effects of the fifth and tenth houses to the sixth and indicating that a living may be earned through Sagittarian pursuits such as publishing, especially with Mercury, which is connected with the third house and writing, in this house too, and house lord Jupiter also ruling the ninth. Guest guest
Dear Flick, Don't know why , but I still feel that you should try writing a novel with hospital as a backdrop. Remember 'A Farewell To Arms' ..love between Catharine and Henry blooms in the hospital.Although war is supposed to be the background , but the most sensitive portions of the story , the last scene too, take place in the hospital....and spirituality too can be so well woven into the story. I don't mean to impose...just a hunch. , Flick <rubysun@n...> wrote: > On 3/3/04 1:20 pm, "bhuwanvashishtha" <bhuwanvashishtha> wrote: > > > Dear Flick, > > > > Thanks, Its been so encouraging to get your feed back. Guest guest
Well, I'm not Earnest Hemmingway ;-) If I fail to get a publisher for my current novel, I may try - I don't hold out much hope though...I can't think of anything that would bore me more. Maybe I should do doctor and nurse romances LOL... Guest guest
Hi Flick, that's really funny another idea revolving around hospitals if you're trying to brainstorm, is that so many near death experiences occur there too. Guest guest
Hi Angie, Don't worry, I won't be writing a novel based in a hospital ;-) One of the major rules of writing is that you should write about things you know about and that inspire you...hospitals don't fulfil either of those criteria. But I'm amazed at the merging literary talent on this group - we should all get together and co author a novel set in a hospital, with potential murder victims having near death experiences that make them investigate spirituality. Mills and Boon here we come ;-))) On 3/3/04 6:08 pm, "Angela" <angelai73 wrote: > Hi Flick, that's really funny another idea revolving around > hospitals if you're trying to brainstorm, is that so many near death > experiences occur there too.
