Guest guest
Thank you very, very much for this. I will steer clear of pink sapphire then, as I have Saturn in the first and ruling my 7th and 8th and quite strong in Shadballa. I thought it might be an alternative to ruby and it's easier to get untreated good quality stones cheaper than ruby. Guest guest
I've been thinking about what you said a lot this evening. If you have time, and if it would not be an imposition, could you be very kind and tell me a little more about pink sapphire? How did you know its rulership, and why does it act so quickly? I assume the Saturn rulership comes from it being sapphire and the sun rulership from it being pink. I have a deep interest in the astrological use of gems (I know there are other remedies and those interest me too) and want to learn as much as possible. Did you read about it or were you given the information, and what made you try this gem for yourself? How does one differentiate between pinkish rubies and pink sapphire, given that all are corundum? Guest guest
Namaste and Salaam, I am a new member to this group. I have read that it is not a very good idea to strenthen a malefic (eg: Sun, Saturn)by using gem. Espeacially if the some benefics are joined along with the malefics or aspected by those. How far do you go with this theory? This is beacuse I have also heard that you still can strengthen a malefic planet, if that happens to be your yogakaraka (lord of the 9th house or fifth house). Thanks for your comments. GS , "Calla, Raman" <rcalla@s...> wrote: > Manoj: > > Very interesting, I have heard about these stone. Guest guest
Any youngster who is wild, reckless, fiercely ambitious, and want to succeed at any cost in life, quite naturally would be willing to take any kind of risk to achieve whatever on what he has set his eyes. I was likewise, and needless to say I was willing to put in any amount of hard work, perform any kind of tantrik pooja, wear any kind of gemstone to succeed. To cut the long story short, I was doing my commercial pilot's course from a prestigious institute, and supposedly I was good at flying. The guys who are into aviation have to undergo medical examination once every year. I had to drop out of aviation because of very minor medical problem. Though every doctor told me it was curable, nobody could cure it; I was grounded--first temporarily and then permanently. In short, it meant that I wouldn't be flying anymore. It was a devastating blow.......for me flying was just not a career or a mode to eke out livelihood......it was something that had boosted my self-esteem, it made be see my own worth, it also meant that I would be breaking the shackles of lower middle class life (if you are aware of Indian society, lower middle class life is a drudgery to say the least, and aviation is quite a paying job in India), and it also meant that I would be "winning" over some things that were very important to me........ I wanted to experiment with anything. One astrologer told me that the significator of my professional life was Saturn, and since Saturn was very weak, though benefic, in my chart, I have suffered set back in my profession. At some place, sombody had told me that Pink Sapphire is meant for propitiating Saturn and Sun, and it is a gem that is capable of changing the wearer's fortune within hours or so. I decided that I would wear Pink Sapphire. In next few days, I purchased this stone and wore it in the evening. Just I was coming back after purchasing this stone, I met with a grisly mishap and was hospitalised for almost a month or so.......In the meantime, my Dad also started suffering in terms of his health. This all happened within two days.....and on the third day I took off my stone and told my friend to drop in the river. And with this experiment, I became poorer by 5000 rupees. It is lot of money in India. The most amazing part was that the moment I took off the ring, my Dad's health was restored as if there was some magic wand. It was not surprising if seen from astrological perspective though; Sun is also supposed to be the significator of Father. It is again a dicotomy or sorts in my case: one section of astrologers had predicted that I would be having very good Saturn Mahadash, the other section had predicted that it would be bad because of very weak Saturn. As far as I am concerned, I think my Saturn Mahadasha has been shorn with many obstacles and failures; aviation was just one of them. Thankfully, I am on the verge of finishing my Saturn Mahadasha. Against this backdrop, I just want to again emphasize that please be very very careful in trying this stone. This is just my experience; hope other members on the list can also shed some light on it. Thanks MS Flick <rubysun (AT) ntlworld (DOT) com> wrote: I've been thinking about what you said a lot this evening. Guest guest
Malefic planets do well in Dusthana houses. And 6th, for example, is uypachaya as well, so improves with time. For us in northern Europe the sun is not malefic in the way it is further south...we don't get enough heat so for us the sun is a lot more benefic...it is the bringer rather than the destroyer of life. Guest guest
Hi Manoj, Thank you for being so frank with me and for relating your experience. I'm sorry you had such a bad time with it all. Would not blue sapphire have been better for you? I would think a stone for both sun and Saturn would be very volatile...rather a conflict of energies. If you were wildly ambitious, I would think your sun had enough without giving it more strength! I won't go into my Saturn dasha till I'm 72 (I'm in Jupiter at the moment). Don't worry, I won't wear pink sapphire, though I'm interested in all you have said about it. Thank you again for your detailed and revealing explanation. Blessings, Flick. Guest guest
That's a very interesting question. I would not personally strengthen the lord of the 12th, unless for spiritual purposes, as it's a house of loss. But I'm just a beginner, so others on the list will probably be able to tell if I'm right or wrong. I decided that I would wear Pink Sapphire. In next few days, I purchased this stone and wore it in the evening. It was not surprising if seen from astrological perspective though; Sun is also supposed to be the significator of Father. Guest guest
Sanjay, What houses are ruled by Jupiter in your chart and where is he ? I have been wearing a yellow sapphire for some time (5 months) but i have never noticed anything extra ordinary my self. (I am a Sagg asc. with Jup in Cancer). My 2 cents. GS , Sanjay Chadha <chadhatony> wrote: > May be it is not the stone, it was how things were supposed to happen. I believe its a good idea to try any stone as recommended for some time. I was advised to wear Yellow Sapphire a few weeks ago. The day I wore it, next day I got finalized for marriage. However the marriage broke off in 3-4 days. I also thought that it could be stone, but when I looked at my horoscope there were two things that had happened at that time, A] I had started Rahu-Mars dasha on the same day (from Rahu-Moon). and B] The Saturn had gone retrograde give it a double blow. Guest guest
Here again the Vedic astrologers would say Sun is very powerful, but on the other hand, a section would say that Sun is not powerful.. so on and so forth. but that's different story. bey for nowFlick <rubysun (AT) ntlworld (DOT) com> wrote: Hi Manoj,Thank you for being so frank with me and for relating your experience. I'msorry you had such a bad time with it all. Would not blue sapphire have beenbetter for you? I would think a stone for both sun and Saturn would be veryvolatile...rather a conflict of energies. If you were wildly ambitious, Iwould think your sun had enough without giving it more strength!I won't go into my Saturn dasha till I'm 72 (I'm in Jupiter at the moment).Don't worry, I won't wear pink sapphire, though I'm interested in all youhave said about it.Thank you again for your detailed and revealing explanation.Blessings,Flick.On 27/2/04 9:55 pm, "Manoj Sharma" <manojsharma662000 > wrote:> Hi Flick.> > Any youngster who is wild, reckless, fiercely ambitious, and want to succeed> at any cost in life, quite naturally would be willing to take any kind of risk> to achieve whatever on what he has set his eyes. Guest guest
I agree, but even so, for me wearing a stone for Saturn would only increase my already overdeveloped sense of responsibility to others. Emphasising Saturn can also slow things in that it makes you feel something will go on forever, so you less likely to push through that feeling to get things done. Guest guest
I'm intrigued by the differences in opinion with these things. My Sun rules my 2nd, is in 6th and is weak in Shadballa. Many would say don't wear ruby, but the way I was taught says the sun does well in the 6th, is friends with the Moon (chart ruler) and though maraka through ruling the second, the second is also house of wealth and family and so good. I wear a ruby: since wearing it my health and confidence have improved, my estranged son is back in my life, my sisters and I see more of each other, my career is improving, my elderly Siamese cat, who was dying, is well again....all this while Saturn opposes my sun by transit. Now maybe these things would have happened anyway, but from first putting on the ruby I've felt warmer, more positive, more cheerful. I'm also wearing yellow sapphire. I have sun in Sag and Jupiter is in fourth, supported by 10th house moon, but it also rules my 6th and is mildly malefic with my Cancer ascendant. Again wearing it has brought very positive results...though I'm in guru guru currently. I'm very interested in remedies, and especially gems, which have fascinated me since childhood...and not for their value. Guest guest
I have a ring on which the stone looks like white saphire, but it appears to have a tint of very slight pink in it. The ring is very very old but the stone is very attractive and brilliant (about 8 carats). I had it checked through couple of gemologists and they concluded that it is saphire. I went through Saturn MD in my childhood and it was horrible, which means that my Saturn must be very weak. I have owned the ring for 24 years, (passed on by my parents) and wore the ring for the very first time about one and a half months ago. Within couple of hours I came to know that my son had a very bad accident where his car was totally destroyed. I removed the ring immediately, but I still own it. Thanks.Manoj Sharma <manojsharma662000 > wrote: Hi Flick. Guest guest
To use a gemstone for vibrational puposes it is beneficial to buy a new stone, completely clear of all flaws - to wash the stone in milk and then preferably Ganga water, and to apply the correct mantra's for the stone before wearing on that stone's auspicious day. In the west we like old things, jewels that belonged to our ancestors - but they carry with them old vibrations, some that may not be so good. Perhaps this is the problem with kind regards Su Dina Nath <jyotishividya > wrote: Dear All, I have a ring on which the stone looks like white saphire, but it appears to have a tint of very slight pink in it. With rubies and emeralds it's nearly impossible as both naturally carry many inclusions. A totally unflawed stone is likely to be a fake or treated with heat or some sort of filler (oil for emeralds, borax or other filler for coloured gems). I wear a three carat untreated yellow sapphire ring; it has one visible flaw and some very small ones visible under loupe; my yellow sapphire earrings have visible flaws as does my 1 carat ruby. I have had immediate and lasting positive results from these stones. All of them have a sattvic feel and a lot of light and fire, despite flaws, and I think this is the important factor along with colour.
