Results of such conjunction will depend on what is sat and rahu giving, with respect to ascendent and other cusp. Sat and Rahu conjunction effect would be effective when they are close. Sat +rahu in 9th house can also mean Sadhu Baba with mass appeal!! For Taureans it could be a great luck and rise in Rahu period. Chart as a whole has to be seen. In a way all planets in the horoscope aspect each other. Hence the strength of the conjunction or aspect is more important. In general, the effect is greater when satrun and rahu A. share the same house and saturn is malefic in that position. (Rahu assumes the nature of planet aspecting it or the house it occupies) B. have 7th aspect and saturn is malefic in that position. C. have 5th aspect. But it is stronger only if they occupy the trines (moolatrikona 1,5,11). Otherwise 5th aspect is not very serious. It only generates 10-25% of the result. D. have 4th aspect. But it is stronger only if they occupy the quadrants (1,4,7,10). This applies to most yogas not just GTY. Ofcourse, needless to say that there can be many exceptions. Not only that, GTY could be very benefic as well. Consider this case: Pisces Asc. Rahu & Saturn in Capricorn 11th house. In this case, Saturn is in own house and has the positional strength in the 11th. Assuming there are no other malefic factors, then such a person will be filthy rich, but will have poor eduction.
