Guest guest
Has anybody come across mention of in the Vedic texts (or anywhere else) mind-body techniques which can be used for remedial measures removing malefic planetary influences. Such techniques are available for health care and are quite successful in psychosomatic health disorders but also work in physical disorders. Yagyas can help prevent karmic planetary influences, but what if the karma has already arrived? What can be done then? I am aware of many instances where prayer has helped physical disorders, but does anyone know of any technique which utilises the mind-body connection to remove malefic planetary effects already occurring. hvm8w0802

Every technique is mind-body correlated because whatever happen with the mind has its body correlation and whatever you do with the body will affect your state of mind. During meditation when the mind experiences deeper level of awareness (more peaceful, more harmonious but also more vigilant) then the body experiences deeper level of peace and rest and then it has some tremendous value of purification. I think that an other extremely usuful angle will be to go more into Ayur Ved and specificaly the use of Panchakarma and Abhyanga. Those are purification and rejuvenation programs involving a series of specialized treatment: 1- A process of purification (oleation) that will loosen the toxins of ama in the tissues... special massages using herbalized oils and taking certain oils internally 2- Swedana that is a specific steam and warm oil therapies. This loosen the toxins to flow more easily from the tissues. 3- Some gentle herbal enemas known as bastis to eliminate the toxins that have accumulated and also some gentle cleansing of the upper respiratory tract and sinuses... this is known as nasya This treatment can be administred over a period of several consecutive days (can be even up to 14 days) to allow a profound and deeplys purifying experience Abhyanga is a massage using warm herbalized oil which is performed by two therapists in synchrony. As the oil is massaged into the skin it penetrates deep into the tissues and start to lossen toxins, which are fat soluble at the cellular level. Abhyanga enhances immunity, increases circulation and creates very deep relaxation in body and mind. During the Panchakarma you could see with the Ayurvedic vedya about getting other treatment like Shirodhara, Pizzichilli etc... Shirodhara is an extremely relaxing treatment in which soothing stream of warm oil is poured over the forehead. It has a great calming effect on the nervous system and integrates mind and body... Great experience of expension of Consciousness in the process ) All these techniques will be administred according to your specific unbalanced of the Doshas. Usually it is advised to take a Panchakarma treatment once every season. Best regards Jean
