Dear All,

 

On the occassion of Maha Shivaratri, One can chant the

following mantras and prayers for Lord Shiva

 

1) Om Namah Shivaya

 

2) Om Trayambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushti-Vardhanam,

Urva-Ruk-Miv Bandh-Naan Mrityor-Mukshiya Maamri-Taat.

 

The above is Mrityunjay Mantra

 

3) Dwadash Jyotir Lingani Strotam - It is a prayer to

all 12 Jyotirlingas, and one can get some effect of

visiting these jyotirlingas by reciting this. It's 2-3

Pages in size and complicated, so I am unable to put

English Version here. However it is given is "Strota

Namavalli" published by Geeta Press, Gorakhpur.

 

4) Shiva Panchakshar Strotam - It is also given is

"Strota Namavalli" published by Geeta Press,

Gorakhpur.

 

5) Rudra-Ashtkam

 

6) Shiva Ashtkam

 

Just did abhiskhem of Lord Shiva in morning with

Charnamrit (Gangajal, Curd, Milk) and with Bel Patra.

Those who live in India can do this, if possible for

them.
