Guest guest
Heal Jean, I have few recollections from my childhood in my village. A black cow 's milk was considered good for health but its milk was avoided for usage in pooja. Feeding a black cow on Saturdays was supposed to remove ill effects of Saturn's period etc. But apart from that nothing adverse was said about black cow. I had some experience (inspired by a black cow) when I was living in MadyaPradesh. You said that your father told you that "Sani Sadi Sati" was less experienced when both parents were still alive and it trigger something in my mind. My experience would go in that direction and it could also been understood in terms of "service" to the parents. This is something that is normal and obvious (or should be) in the context of a classical upbringing of indian children. They care for their parents as if they were God and Shakti incarnate, and I have seen behaviours in India that were a delight for the soul... In the west not only this notion is lost but I have to add that, by example in France, it took a very sad reverse direction. As it is a personal experience it could not be taken as a "general Sani remedy" but this is what I have been inspired to do and what I am "practicing" as a Sadhana since few years now. Could you tell me if your father or you would approved about these points as a remedy to propitiate Sani? - Being in service to the parents or old persons in need. - Being as simple and natural and do not expect anything; no reward or good karma or whatever, even if there is one ) but we are not concerned with it. We take the things as they come and enjoy every moment of it. Giving is it's own reward. - Do everything to them as a prayer, in a very simple, natural and tender state of consciousness... - And most important, feel all the time grateful to the parents for this opportunity they are giving you to help them and to be of service. All the waves of Love and Gratitude you will received in being at their service you offer them in return. It is said in the Gita that "The Protector of Dharma is protected by Dharma".
