Guest guest
Dear Surya: One of the things one learns from 'Astrology' as a whole, is that we are all, many qualities all at once. We're a thinking entity. We're a feeling person, and we have an ego center. We also have bodies.... Then, Astrology comes along and describes even more deeply that we are this subtle flavor of Sun in Capricorn, energy, like right now.... while another person also born during the Sun in Capricorn month... but because they have different Moon's.... have a completely different inner quality of 'feeling' nature. Now, as far as comparing the 2 systems I do, think, eventually, we'll have to resolve this one dichotomy between the two...and that is.... which system is more accurate? The fact that Western Astrology says that we're basically, a symbolic knowledge still doesn't settle well with modern day scientists.... And my belief is eventually, we'll have to accept that Jyotish is more precise. What you need to do, is look within yourself... and in reading the descriptions of the various configurations...ask yourself...which description fits you better? Also, you need to study the other Planetary situations too.... Many people who know both their Western and Eastern Charts...feel 'relevance' from both but more preciseness from their Eastern charts.... One last positive thing I'd like to say re. Western Astrology is I believe they have a few qualities of Astrology, more right then even the Eastern System. For example, Western believes the Sun is the more important astrological reality whereas the Eastern system believes the Moon is the more important one! Well, when you study Jyotish long enough, especially studying both the transits and people's charts... you understand that the Moon is indeed important...but you can't help but feel so is the Sun! Like that there are strengths and weaknesses in both systems.... Eventually, I believe we'll find a kind of blending going on.... but... still, you're still going to have to look inside yourself... and decide which description fits you the best... I'd also recomend you have your chart done, by a good, professional astrologer (Jyotish) who will be able to help you 'feel' your Jyotish chart, more vividly. Good luck Sincerely, Mark Kincaid PS....I don't know if you've heard, but I also write a Jyotish newsletter. It's includes a daily, Transits newsletter as well as other aspects of Jyotish as well. Guest guest
Dear Mark, Thanks for your post .. in some ways it mirrors my own feelings .. I sometimes feel that the parity is deeper than just sun or moon being the basis ... however I cannot define this feeling ... I wish someday astrology starts to talk to me like it does to some people on the group I know a lot of talented astrologers ... very veyr accurate in predicting ... but I have always been dissatisfied because of the "feel" factor that you have been mentioning ... there is so much of stress on predicting events that I sometimes feel lost as to the changes that I have to make to myself to adapt to these events vis a vis my own strengths and weaknesses .... I will come back to you once I am more financially sound for sure Surya. --- Mark Kincaid <m.kincaid wrote: > Dear Surya: > > One of the things one learns from 'Astrology' as a > whole, is that we are > all, many qualities all at once.
