Friend,

There is nothing wrong in calling Brahmins to their dharma. That is

better than your global and unsupportable generalization.

There is quite a bit of evidence of Brahmin self-absorption here.

The following message is an example. This is one of many repeated

requests that have been ignored. I post this here to give my elders

and betters a chance to get off their dead butts about this, since it

was presented to them first, before I act in the matter.

Blessed Be

Respected Shri Dharmanandaji,

I have been reading your answers and contributions and

am amazed by the knowledge base that you have in

astrology.

I have posted quite a few times requesting for an

answer for a couple of my queries in the .

But unfortunately no body has been able to give me an

answer. Maybe they are tied up with their priorities.

I am writing to you with the hope that you maybe able

to help.

My details are as follows:

Date of Birth 31st march 1961

Place of Birth : Yadgir, karnataka

Lat & Long : 77.08 and 16.46

Time of Birth : 9 10 am

Current Dasa Bhukthi

Jupiter - Mercury - Venus since December 16th 2003

I have attached my Horoscope for your kind perusal.

I have had a very harrowing time in India since August

2000 and was sacked from my job on May 30th 2001. I

literally became bankrupt and since then have not been

able to pay my loans

With great difficulty I found a job on which I started

to work in November 12th 2001 but was again sacked on

February 8th 2002. All this while I had to underground

and stay with caution, out of bounds from my

creditors.

I found a very good job in Indonesia on 30th May 2002.

I came here on July 5th 2002.

After coming here I realised that this company is

heading towards bankruptcy, because the Government is

against them. Our salaries are getting delayed and

because of which my interest rates on my loans are

going up and am unable to honour commitments.

Meanwhile I applied for immigration to the UK and I

got it on September 9th 2003 and the letter reached me

on September 17th 2003.

I applied for Visa stamping on October 16th, 2003. On

account of reasons best known, the Visa officer was

delaying the stamping and finally I managed to contact

the Home Ministry in UK and upon their instructions I

got the Visa stamped on December 8th 2003 as a Highly

Skilled Migrant.

I am currently applying for jobs in UK. I will not be

able to survive there for more than one or 2 nonths

without a job in case I resign here.

I met an Indonesian Fortune teller and she told me

that I will get 3 offers in March from UK and I will

do very well there. But she was not able to elaborate

beyond her instincts in a scientific manner as is done

in vedic astrology.

I would be grateful if you go through my Horoscope and

let me know as to by when you think I will move to UK.

And by when will I get a job there.

Will I get a job and then move or will I go there and

find a job.

By when will I be able to be in a position to start

repaying my debts.

I will be ever grateful if you could kindly let me

know these so that I can overcome my anxiety.

Regards,

John

Dear friend,

This is a reply to Dharmananda who signs of with a "blessed be " and then

demands attention on so -called perceived social hierarchy. You epitomize

hypocracy and arrogance.

Nobody owes u anything..get that in ur thick head.

I thought that Jyotish, amongst other fields of Vedic Knowledge, was based

essentially on the principle of the act of giving. If we are a small pound we

will give only ripples. We are only able to give what we are... if you find

that the world is not perfect then aspire to make yourself perfect... "Beauty

dwells in the eye of the beholder"

How can we read a jyotish chart properly if we carry a so poor judgment on the

concerned person. A simple and natural love toward your fellow friends allow

you to uncover greater depth of knowledge and only then the most precious,

efficient and fullfilling solutions will arise to make the person grow in

happiness and in Bliss toward a higher state of Consciousness.

As a Jyotishi, just by reading the jyotish chart, just by putting your simple

and peaceful attention on the chart, the person should feel uplifted, elated

and should experience the refreshing and infinite tenderness of Mother upon his

being; the play of Parashakti, the dynamic field of all possibilites flowing in

waves for hopes of greater achievements. This is a great blessing for the one

who is seeking help... and even much greater blessing for the Jyotishi... :o)

Harmony, peace and equanimity are the first qualities of a Jyotishi. The mind of

a perfect Jyotishi is grounded in the field of Atma. Why should we feel affected

by the problems, we are only concerned with the solutions :o)

Amicalement

That's beautiful and true, Jean, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the Jataka

can percieve it. It depends on the person's karma.

There's also a balance to be maintained. If I get called 'ji' and even 'prabu' a

lot, which has happened, there are necessarily going to be people who point out

my shortcomings as well.

It really gets ridiculous when there's a person like Chandra-bhai, who is

currently freezing his Hindu buns off in Dresden Germany, who says that he

wants to come serve me. That is absolute nonsense. It has nothing to do with

anything that either of us wants or intends to do, or needs. But it still

necessarily sets off this kind of reaction, and I can't even disagree with this

person's criticism.

Blessed Be

Dharmananda

Dear Jean Clement,

Quite philosophical musings and I agree with the content but i fail to see

how that repudiates my point.. I claimed that the author was arrogant and a

hypocrite based on my observations of what he said in particular his

comments that " no devata or mantra or guru, can save a man who ignores

people from his own caste" and then signs of with blessed be. To me that is

not the kind of comment or thought that an jyotish aspirant should have.

Class and race and religious distinctions are the root of the world's

troubles today. And if i had spoken out against hypocrisy, then i would not

be the first and would be even in esteemed company. See my comments below.

Comments: Agree. except that the Atma is intrinsically perfect, but the

veil of ignorance appears to make it so, to the perciver and the percieved.

How can we read a jyotish chart properly if we carry a so poor judgment on

Comments: No disagreement. But not a judgement, but an observation based on

available data. Even Shankara in Bhaja Govindam had begun the beautifull

poem by critiqing a scholar.

She wasn't trying to repudiate your point, silly! She was just doing

what real Jyotishi do constantly and automatically: spewing light

everywhere.
