I have been in this list for past few days and amazed by the wealth of

information being shared here. Thank you all!!

I have a question about MANGLIK DOSHA. Following is my chart.

******************************

******* Rasi *********

Birth details:

Birth 27-10-1978

BirthTime: 18:30:0

Latitude: 028:38:59 -N

Longitude: 077:13:00 -E

Place of Birth: Madras

TimeZone: 5.5

DayLightSaving: 0

Ayanamsa: 23.561201431846793

Nakshatra: PurvaPhalguni

Rasi: Leo

Nakshatra Lord: Venus

Ascendant: 026:45:00

10th House: 281:49:41

As a begineer in Astrology, I learnt that considering the position of Mars

(in 8th) relative to Lagna, I have Manglik Dosha. And it becomes double

Manglik as per both Lagna and Moon. I also learned that the effect of this

Dosha is reduced due to the placement of Moon & Mars in 5 and 8th

respectively.

Please forgive me if I had made any wrong statements. I just wanted to

confrm if my understanding is right, also please advice me on any possible

remedies if required. Thanks in advance.

I never knew that Lord Rama had Ketu in 12. Thanks for that information. I

will dig on Ketu's position in my chart, while I would also appriciate all

of your comments on that too.

Thanks and Best Regards,

SB.

Re: Sun & Moon - Dharmananda

Hi Roy. Please save the "Prabhu" for the Gurus. I appreciate your

sincerity, but I prefer simple. Yes, it was that very Ramchandra who is

said to have had Ketu in the 12th.

Of course, it's a legend. I can't speak for the Avatars of Vishnu. But

there is a principle of the Avatar having to come to earth to function in

His Divine role. There is also a principle of the Avatar being an example,

and taking on certain qualities for that purpose.

I believe that they all had Gurus, even though they were greater than their

Gurus. And they all had birth charts. But of course, their consciousness

was that of the very God, and they were not limited by the conditions of

their births.

Blessed Be

Dharmananda

Dear Dharmananda Prabhu,

Thank you for your comment.

Lord Rama! Do you mean Lord Ramacandra, King of Ayodha and He Who fought

with Ravana?! If so, a sudden strong curiosity came to my mind. Did the

Avataras of the Supreme Lord also accept being influenced by planetary

forces? I mean, Ramacandra and other incarnations of God are different

manifestations of the Supreme Lord and all other Demigods serve Him and

offer Him reverences. Yet, could They have temporarily accepted being

governed by the Laws of Nature during His stay on Earth?

I am sorry if this query is inappropriate or out of context. I just wonder.

All the Avataras have personalities, and as far as I know, they appear in

very auspicious moments. Just a thought that came to my mind..

Thank you again,

Roy

Re: Sun & Moon - Angie

Saturn and Ketu are Moksha Karakas. The 12th is a Moksha house. Lord Rama

is reputed to have had Ketu in the 12th. This powerful Moksha house means

past spiritual practice, an urge to renunciation in the present, and a

capacity for Moksha in this life. If Saturn is the final dispositor of the

the chart, this is the birth of a very powerful renunciate indeed.

Blessed Be

Dharmananda

Hi Angie,

Thank you for your post and link related to the 12th house. Yes, I do have

Sun

debilitated in my chart, but in the 9th (and not the 12th). Yet, I am very

curious in the mystery that hides behind the 12th. Beside the predominant

and

common significations such as expenditure, liberation, losses, left eye,

foreign residence,

sexual enjoyment, jails, hospitals, it also stands for the nature of one's

previous incarnation.

I have no idea how one can pull out interpretations regarding one's previous

incarnation

from the planets that occupy this house. I personally have Saturn and Ketu

and Capricorn in

the 12th, having Saturn in it's own sign.

Hello Roopa,

Please read the following article by Mr. Tanvir:

http://jyotish-articles.netfirms.com/kuja_dosha.htm,

under the section "Counters of this Dosha".

I am just a beginer here so can't say much.

But, per article "However, some hold the opinion that these

conditions though weaken the Dosha, but does not completely nullify.

I feel that it might be correct."

I think you would require a careful analysis of the charts before

concluding "No Dosha" case.
