Guest guest
Dear All: Speaking of Bhadavad Gita.... One of the best translations I ever read was the one by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, which is...oh...can't remember the publisher... (few mins later) Here's an amazon.com.. webpage I found that has it.. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0140192476/103-8116262-3375838 ?v=glance In the Maharish's translation.....there's this wonderful...direct translation underneath each verse of the gita... To ....me...the key to the gita...which is often described...as the central jewel of the Ved... is to Know Thyself... Self-Knowledge... to discover...the Self...within...is the key to life.. And from and with this experience...all other values...follow... Doing what's right...comes from 'Knowing' who we are. Ability to discriminate...like you said...in your #4...below... Cultivating True Knowledge and discriminating... to me....is possible...only from the level...of Self-Realization.... According to the Maharishi...Self-Realization is first.... and all else.... second.... Do not seek to escape from > responsibility. But perform your desireless actions with detachment, > without seeking the fruit of your actions accepting God as the True > Doer and yourself as a mere instrument..
