Dear Friends:

Thank you all so much for the feedback about whether you would like the Daily

Star Reports or the Weekly ones.

Well, it looks like people actually like both! Go figure! So, I'm continuing

with the Daily Star Reports, and for those who like the Week At A Glance, I'm

doing that too. Sorry if the Daily Star Reports are a little short, most

people seem to preper just a little short, 'blip' of the day....which I can

totally relate to.

For those who are not yet fulfilled enough, I'll be doing an Advanced Bulletin

for those who'd like to go more deeply into any subjects in Astrology or

Jyotish. That first one will be coming out soon and it would help if you'd

tell me if you'd like to receive that one, too.

New Star Reports: Week At A Glance......

Moon's Still 'Waning'.... which means it's getting smaller. I used to think

this aspect of the cycle was more 'inauspicious', especially listening to

classic, Jyotish books and texts, describing what it would be like for someone

having a small Moon in their chart.

I understand it, but it's not really 'inauspicious'...it's just representative

of the state of the Moon's cycle. Getting smaller, Waning...means 'Inward'...

getting bigger, means Waxing...which means more ready for outwardness!

So...the last 7 day's the Moon was beginning this cycle...and you might have

noticed a beginning kind of 'inwardness'....happening inside. It's good to

learn to perceive this and go with it.

I find the first 7 days of the Waning Moon cycle...are great days to re-organize,

to focus on what's gone on during the previous 1 or 2 weeks, of the Waxing Moon

Cycle...and start catching up with paperwork, and details that got neglected in

the fast pace of the very big Moon.

Now... the Moon's about 1/2 Full, becoming more and more... empty... and the

next 'final' days of the Waning Cycle...are really the best days to rest.

As the Moon gets closer and closer to being 'New'...it represents a kind of

stillness in the environment...and also playing out in our nervous systems..

Much stress can be picked up during these days, because no body teaches us how

to run our lives around the Moon, and therefore normal demands of family and

work...run contrary to the Moon...therefore stress results.

Since I've figured this cycle out and literally, how to allow my affairs,

business and personal to wrap around this cycle, so to speak, my life has been

much more smooth, joyful and even, funnily enough, more Successful!

The Moon represents....the basic cycle of rest and activity....for our entire Planet!

7 Day: 'Week At A Glance'

Wednesday 1/14... Moon moves to 23 degrees of Virgo, today. See if you

notice how you feel this day! Moon's just beginning the Final Quarter of

the Waning Moon Cycle... so see if you can feel ...that increasing

inwardness...goings on!

At this very moment, the Moon is being aspected by Mars which is also at 23

degrees, though in the Sign opposite to Virgo, in Pisces.

Please be careful, right now...and today....and don't rush...or get sucked into

any exposions of Mars nature, fighting, quarreling...etc.

It'll quickly pass as the Moon moves into Libra, very soon. (12hrs).

See if you can 'feel' the Piscian quality going on these last couple of days and today.

I woke up this morning, thinking how nice it would be to create a 'Spiritual'

Jyotish bulletin like all the rest we've been doing... and then I caught myself

and laughed...'Wow..I wonder if that's the Moon being aspected by a strong,

vibrant, Mars which is in Pisces? And since, Pisces represents the end of

life, the end of the Jyotish Cycle of Signs...and as such a very spiritual

place, maybe that's why I was thinking about these things, this am!

So...we'll see..... If anyone else would like to reflect on the Spiritual

Signs... of Jyotish I'd be happy to do it.

In fact, I think I'll add that to the growing list of interests and questions

that have already come in regarding more advanced topics.

PS... the Sun moves into Capricorn...after a long...wonderful month going

through Sagittarius!.... See if you can feel that powerful shift!

Will be writing a Month At A Glance - Bulletin today, to talk about the entire

month of Capricorn ahead!

Thursday 1/15... Moon moves to 7 degrees of Libra, today. See if you can

feel

that shift into the very different Libra energy. Virgo is so much more

cerebral, unemotional, and analytic....good energy to get meticulous details

organized and accomplished. But, Libra energy will be very much more

'heartsy', and feelings will predominate as well as interesting

thoughts...since Libra is an air sign. No specific benefic influences though

the Lord of Libra, is Venus which is presently moving across Aquarius...which

is opposite from Leo, where Jupiter is! So... lot

of potential...sweetness....in spiritual...concerns during these next few weeks...

Though Moon also is going to be aspected by Ketu/Rahu..in about 1 1/2 days from

now...as well as Mars which is aspecting also from Pisces.

See, if you can perceive these subtle differences...and not buy into their

negative, effects...but utilize for positive accomplishments.

Friday 1/16.... Moon moves to 21 degrees of Libra....today, so see if you

can

feel that frustrating, Rahu/Ketu effect at this time. Ketu's at 24 degrees, in

Libra, as well, so in 6 hours from 'now'...6hrs after 9am, CST... Moon & Ketu

will be going through a brief Planetary War.... Try and see if you can notice

it's effects..

and if you're 'feeling' at all rough,....see if you can do some

adjusting...that'll allow you to neutralize...that negative.

Every Planetary situation...has a blessing inside, even if uncomfortable, or

challenging. Learning to anticipate and guess what the hidden, more subtle

meaning might be is one of the greatest... values of good Jyotish.

Rahu and Ketu, are often the hardest to figure out, and as such grab us, bind

us, and sweep us away....way too often. But, if we notice any such, 'negative'

effects month after month...then we can get inspired to figure out how we can

turn this around! We're supposed to and that's very exciting!

Saturday 1/17.... Moon moves into Scorpio, today. Presently, at 5

degrees, but Moon will quickly be moving deeper and deeper into Scorpio, which

is it's least favorite place to be. On the positive note, there's no other

malefic influence upon the Moon during these Scorpio days...but Moon's passage

here, shows us exactly why Moon doesn't like being in Scorpio.

See, Scorpio, feels very passionately and dynamically about things. Hence, it's

nickname, Scorpian, stinging! And though Scorpio is as important as any of the

other 11 Signs... it's just it's nature ...isn't very compatible with the Moon.

 

So,.....see if you can take advantage of the positive side of Scorpio during

these days, to feel your passion, and reflect on your ideals...

Just don't get bent out of shape if others aren't doing what you think they

should be doing, or living up to your expectations!

Sunday January 18th........ Moon continues moving through Scorpio. As of

'right now', Moon arrives at 20 degrees. Did you experience the Scorpio

quality... we were anticipating? Or someone else...bring that Scorpio quality

to you? Or around the office? Good time, to reflect on your passions and

ideals... as that's the energy... that's as if...flowing through the Moon....

but... the soft, especially Waning Moon, won't generally, handle it very

well...so if you're found 'aching' on a feeling level, don't be surprised...and

allow yourself...more space. Rest, the Moon is really getting smaller now! You

deserve it.

Pay attention to your feelings!.... This alone, will strengthen, the Moon, inside.

Moon represents our feelings and as such, have gotten ignored for life times.

But, now, we're being born and one of our greatest lessons is regarding

feelings.

Paying attention will show you how much added attention and nourishment does your Moon need!

Ask yourself a question? In my birth chart, how full-up is my Moon?

That'll show you how much fulling up...you're supposed to do!

And if the Moon's found being small, or Waning, then the lesson is a general,

inward one. If the Moon's Waning, it's not just a 'negative' according to

Jyotish. But, is an interesting bit of information that may help you know

you're supposed to pay more attention to your 'feelings'...and as a

result....strengthen your Moon!

Monday January 19th........ Moon arrives at 4 degrees of Sagittarius,

today!

Wow...see if you can feel the Scorpio, relief? The Moon is like a Cosmic

'Receivor', and as such, relays to us, on the Earth...all the news of the

Galactic... qualites of the Sun, Planets and Signs...that are always radiating

to the Earth, anyway. See, if you can feel this latest shift. Moon in

Sagittarius teaches us a lot about learning and being curious. As such, this 2

1/2 day transit will 'feel' quite a bit nicer.

Though it'll feel a 'bit' more complicated then the last few days... because...

both Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu...all, are still fully aspecting Sagittarius from

where they are.

o Rahu's at 23:54 degrees Aries...

o Saturn's at 14 degrees of Gemini... and

o Jupiter's at 24:34 degrees of Leo....

See if you can feel any of these influences.... and which one tends to win out?

Unfortunately, Rahu and Saturn, will tend to dominate...cuz they're 2 against 1!

But, let's perform a little Jyotish experiment....!!

Let's increase the 'wattage' of Jupiter...during these 2 days...and see if we

can more fully access...Jupiter's power!

If you meditate.... then spend a little bit more time in the 'transcendent'

....during these 2 days.... What harm can it be. Or even, slightly better

programs...however you might define it. In any way, increase the Jupiter

power!

Praying to God.... is another great way. Talking to Guru, himself... Reading

scriptures, ....... experiment...

And see if you don't notice less of a negative effect!

I had such an experience just the other day. Remember when Moon and Saturn were

colliding...let's see.... ahhh....last... Sunday....the 11th of January...

I noticed that Moon and Saturn would both be moving through 14 degrees of

opposite Signs... Saturn was at 14 degrees of Gemini, and Moon would be moving

through 14 degrees of Sagittarius!

So...I thought, 'ok, it's Sunday anyway...and I could use the extra rest... but

really I could even feel that Saturn inwardness coming. But, instead of trying

to stay busy because oh, boy, it is Sunday...time to play... I did the

opposite. I went deep inside...

did 2 meditations this am...and it was as if...the Saturn influence...flew by!

Missing me completely.... And I thought, wow.... I transcended it...!...cool!

So...let's do that again....though it's too bad that it's coming during the week... but

let's see if we can increase our Jupiter power!

To avoid, neutralize...or completely transform... any negative...into a pleasant...time!

Tuesday January 20th........ Moon's at 19 degrees of Sagittarius, today....

See if you can feel that Saturn influence.

Saturn's at 14 degrees, so Moon being at 19 degrees, would have meant that they

would have 'collided' most intensely, 10 hours earlier.... So, for those in

the Western Hemispheres, that would have been in the night....

So... before you go to bed.... do a couple extra sets of yoga asanas.... I find

that extremely helpful...at unwinding, especially, any Saturn tension....

Due to not....doing enough in the first place!

hehehe

See, also if you can feel...that Saturn / Rahu....sandwich...squeezeeeee!

Saturn's at 14 degrees....

Moon's at 19 degrees...and

Rahu's at...23 degrees....

So...Moon's right in the middle... Good time...to invite Jupiter in!

It's also at 24 degrees...so strategically placed...to intervene!

Don't be surprised....if it's still, a kind of heavy, intense....12 more hours!

New Moon, coming up tomorrow...

And normally...the New Moon wouldn't be such a relief!

But, this month, it'll feel like that!

So....enjoy!

3 Pillars of Jyotish!

Don't forget... the Transits are still, only 1 out of 3 most important aspects of Jyotish.

The Transits, are what Cosmic influences will be coming to us, each and every day!

But, how we take those experiences, depends upon 2 things.

#1 Our Charts...

Which represent our human Psychologys and Physiologys...

or Nervous Systems...

If we're strong, inside...the negatives will be less. If we're

too sensitive, or tender, we'll feel them more strongly. And

#2 Our Dasas...

We should follow which Dasas' we're in...because they will

also represent the 'areas' of our charts, that we'll be going

through most dynamically.

If we're going through tender, or 'weak' areas in our charts,

we'll be more vulnerable to even the Transits... at these times.

Put.... 3 Pillars of Jyotish.... At the Top of A Page....

Chart Dasas and Transits!

And reflect on all three!

Here's a comment from one of our rs...in Europe.

"Mark, I have one question. Your Transits are very insightful, but it seems to

me they only represent the outer layer of the circle.

Actual things happen in the inner layer that represents the positions of planets

in our charts, for example. So, what actually happens when the Moon transits

the natal Moon, from one's chart? Is it a friendly transit upon one's one

chart?"

"Dear Gordana: This is a very good, and insightful question. Yes, you're

right, the Transits do influence our charts and vice a versa.

I've started with the Transits, because it's easier to teach about Jyotish,

sometimes...from the outer in. Also, it's more difficult to try and explain the

Transits...in terms...of everyone's different Rising Signs.. I tried that for

awhile but it was too time consuming for these daily and weekly Star Reports.

So, suffice it to say.... there is this very important influence... And we can

keep that in mind as we're going through the Transits. For example if the Moon

is transiting Virgo, where it has been these last few days...and one has Saturn

there... from one's chart, then that will definitely change the Transit!

Believe me, I know this, since I have Saturn in Virgo. And each month I

experience that... but it's so automatic, I almost don't notice any

difference...because I've always 'felt' like that.

But, other transits...are even more significant... Let's say that Saturn is

itself, transiting...where one's Moon or Sun, are in one's chart... Well, this

2 1/2 year transit is even more important... because of the Transiting...Saturn

upon the Natal Chart Moon or Sun....

And we'll cover these more in the Advanced Newsletter... especially how to not

only see these kinds of transits coming..but how to prepare for them so they're

not negative...and more auspicious!
