Please refer to the writing on Religion and Science. I have been reading

articles on these subjects since long. Even taking individually, I find it

ridiculous that many are writing about religion. From the readings of all

articles in the recent past, I see that none of them has the 'real meaning of

religion' Still they are writing on 'Religion'. I would be much grateful if

anybody can define 'Regligion',

>From the time of Kalidasa, there are a lot of words in life that can not be

defined in words but can feel. In other words, we know what it is but sorry,

we can not say express what it is or cannot make others understand it with the

use of words. To me, one of such thing is religion. Especially, when we look

the birth and growth of Religion, we can see that it is made for a group of

people or society. Religion is the ...... .. .. (something) to show the path

to reach the God. God is the Nirguna Soul of the Universe who or which was ever

there, did not born and will not die. Before creation and after destruction He

or It would be there.

Depending upon the geographical and political system of the place and

society/people, various life-style or routine of day-to-day life was announced

by the Religious Leaders and people / society decided to follow it for over all

welfare of the people because their world was not a globe or sphere, but it was

vast and endless. Those creeds or routines are now called as the Religion or

religious by the new generaltion. For example, Hinduism or the social system,

said to have born east of Sind, declared that among social relations, this or

that should be made a system and to be followed by all people. At another

corner, say South India, Adi Sankara, the last in the tradition, advised

another descipline. Thiruvalluvar in Tamil Nadu, Sri Budha from Kapilavastu,

Mahaveer and so on which still are under growth and devewlopment and would

continue as long as the human beings are existing on earth.

In the same style, Prophen Muhammed from Arabia and Lord Jesus from Israyel

advised certain systematic life for overall welfare of the society. When we

take Bhagavad Gida, Lord himself is saying "Chatur varniam Maya Srishtam - Gun

Karm Vibhagasa". In other words, all divisions amo0ng society is made for the

welfare of the sOCIETY. wHEN SOCIETY IS NOT THERE, THERE IS NO NEED OF

RELIGION. At certain parts of the world certain life-style was arisen based on

the local situation of that place. Even in business such divisions and its

impact is there. A manufacturing business and a trading business consists of

this 'Chaturvarnia' and certain protocol. Let us talk about religion. "When

you are in Rome please do as Romanms do". This issue should not be mislead and

about blind-belief. This is also grown based on LOGICAL QUESTIONs which can not

be avoided for the same of the person who asks. Let us ask questions,

listen the asnwers, compare it in our own mind, follow it till it is found that

there are certain alterations. Let us alter it, ALL THESE FOR THE WELFARE OF

THE UNIVERSE..

Talking like "..... customs that was going on in hinduism, such as sati-dah,

saha-maran etc....." AND ".. .. .. as per islam a married man can marry again

without his wife's permission ... .. " is absured as these are MERELY

CUSTOMS, and means that there was not even a single powerful administrator in

those days to look into the matters and alter it. That is why, THESE WERE THE

LIFE-STYLE OF A TIME OR AGE which we are the people to alter or ban and These

are not RELIGIOUS but these use the RELIGIOUS MASK because of the power and

authority held by the religious leaders. In the contemporary period, I read

some Jyotish Articles about black-magic - Absolutely absurd logic. (1) By

using certain chemicals, through food or under the bed of one, it would happen;

(2) At some marshy fields during night some kind of gas is forming which would

flash from time to time and people were considered it as Bhoot, Pret and Pisach

etc.,

.. Even with ussing the the Science, people are there saying that in USA or

PSA Scientists who visited Planet Mars found this and that.

It is my strong belief that this kind of little discoveries are not going to do

any good to the present world, people, society. Here people are in need of

great storage of Food, Drink, Enjoyments and these are not for the time, but

for Ever - as long as people are there on earth.

-Sorry, Certain subjects provocates me with righteous indignation. One is the

word ' Religion'. I would, of-course, like to know other's views, as what is

religion and why is it called so and whether we need it now?
