Guest guest
Satrun is variuosly referred as nigerdo, the spiritus niger, the sol niger. Nigerdo means the blackening process, The Spiritus niger is shadow side and the sol niger means the Dark Sun. Astronomically Saturn made us to feel that he is the visual boundary 0f our solar system till the invention of telescope. By western astrology he has various arhetypical forms, namely, father time; the grim reaper, the wise old man, the senex, the castrator, the devourer, the good king, the judge of heroes and the taskmaster. He is always considered as Old malefic. One of the old literature in the western astrology mentions that 'Saturn in Aries in any chart indicates the evil and unfortunate events in the early life, and hindrance to all activities, and Saturn and the Moon opposition first destroy the maternal inheritance; then thay weaken teh mother with various pains and illnessses or overthrow her mind' Vedic astrology too mentions Saturn as Vidva Graha, Slow planet, Mudavan (handicapped), Mandan (slow actor), etc. If we look at the evil nature he does it casually without worrying much. If we look at the evil nature of Saturn it tends us to believe the other nature given for Saturn by Lal kitab 'Sani is regarded as a snake with Rahu's head and ketu as a tail'. Here I believe when Saturn conjuncts Rahu or Ketu may be bad doubtlessly. There are many literatures mention about the conjunction of Moon and Saturn and the opposition,. the same way Mars and Saturn too. But Saturn cannot totally considered as a malefic planet he seems to be very fine in the Upacayas, I have seen the people having the Saturn in those sthanas in the Sani dasa enjoyed more than the Venus dasa. Even in transit he is fine from places. So it is one's Luck to have Saturn in nice places and with the aspect of ascending Moon, Mercury, venus and Jupiter on Saturn. Also Sasha yoga Saturn makes the IAS officers, politicians, director of the institutes etc. In mandalathi yoga too (exaltation of three planets in the rasi chart) if Saturn involves the native enjoys much comparatively.
