I agree with your good analysis here regarding the Transits.

 

In fact, I know, now, that I experienced most of my early wisdoms of jyotish

when I started watching the daily Transits...

 

To me, Astrology became alive as Nature seems to live Jyotish, very purely.

 

One of the other things I've learned is that you can witness and verify many

of the ideas and principles of Jyotish through the Transits....

 

You can literally experience what it's like to when the Moon & Saturn are

conjunct together.

 

In fact it happens every month!.... Then, the Moon quickly moves into the

next house where that Saturnian influence is not 'felt'....and then, when it

moves into the next house.... it miraculously comes back.

 

Then, I remembered, 'wow, Saturn's supposed to influence 3 houses away, and

wow, I realized I can experience that!'

 

These kinds of experiences really amount to a true science of Jyotish.

 

When we can verify in our own experiences and in the experiences of others;

the truths of jyotish then we've gained an ability to make it scientific.

 

One of the other things I've learned is to look at the Transits from the

Rising Sign, as well.

 

And though this isn't the usually first system recomended, ie. looking at

the Transits through the Moon sign; still....I found this much more

accurate.

 

I noticed also that I and others live the Rising Sign...

 

It's our personality and bodys... and as such I noticed I can experience

those Transits....literally, in my body....

ps.... oh, yes, one last thing...

 

Recently I've realized that it is very helpful to conceive of 3 simultaneous

aspects of Jyotish that go on all the time.

 

There are the Transits, but....also the Dasas, as you mention below...but

there are also our charts....

 

I call this the 3 pillars of jyotish..... Chart, Dasas & Transits....

 

they all go together to reflect the totality of everyday....practical

experience.

 

At any moment ....these 3 aspects of your chart....are going on....

and give the greatest insight into the 'whys' of your experience!

 

 

 

ps.... as you may have noticed....I do this daily Jyotish Newsletter.
