Hi Mark:

 

Thanks for your email. I am glad that you are sharing your knowledge

with all of us espeically about Transits. I would luv to have a

healthy debate on transits in the days to come to help us light the

energy fire around us.

 

Here is a brief intro from me on Transits. And we can go in detail

as we move along. I am sharing my deepest knowledge on transits

through some simple paragraphs below. Please feel free to add and

comment.

 

All:

 

The transits will bring to life all the indications of the houses

they activate and the planets they aspect. As we all know Transits

are used to time events in a life. You may see a potential in a

chart, but when will the potential manifest or come to fruition?

This is activated through the onset of the dashas and the activation

of the natal planets through the transits aspecting them.

 

Take an example of the dasha rulers because those same planets in

transit will be the most important planets to focus on while

analyzing the transits. Example: If you are in Saturn's maha dasha

and Mars Antar Dasha then the transits of these two planets will

weigh in far more than the other transiting planets. Likewise the

Rashi placements of Saturn and Mars (while in their dashas) are more

important when a transiting planet makes an aspect to them. They are

like a land mine getting ready to explode when transited.

 

The way that I have simplified to understand transits is like this:

Consider your Natal (rasi) chart as the guideline for life. All

pointers to various houses and aspects are all pre governed at

birth. These static so called pointers will not change. Now what

will activate them. It is nothing but the current state of the

Planets in the sky called Tramsit Planets. So if we superimpose the

current state of the planets in the sky onto Natal chart we get a

beautiful link from static to real time. It is as if a real time

event is activating a pre-defined static Rasi Link.

 

In Vedic Astrology transits are viewed as more accurate from Chandra

Lagna (using the Moon as the Ascendant). I always assess the

transits from the Moon to give more confluence. If I see the transit

predicting the same event from Chandra Logna after repeating the

steps for analyzing transits, I can make my prediction with

conviction.
