Dear Friends:

The Moon has moved to 26 degrees Virgo, today,

as of 9:00am, Thursday 12/18th.......

CST....

USA...

Section One: Transits....

Moon moves to the end of Virgo, today, or 'as we speak'....ah...

at 9am Wed. 12/17th....cst....

So, in the 'next' 8 hours.... expect the Moon to finish it's movement

through Virgo.

Still a good time to be meticulous, finish those details, paperwork, and dotting

'i's and crossing 't's'.....

Virgo is good at those things along with Waning Moon which is an added

incentive to get a little bit re-organized...for the next...Waxing Moon cycle

coming up....after Christmas....

See, if you notice the shift, tomorrow.... into the Libra...kind of sweet energy.

The 2 days after that will be filled with the Libra, sweetness though towards

the end of Libra will find the Moon & Rahu colliding!

"Mark, I really don't know a whole lot about Jyotish, so it's been

quite fun for me to seem to be developing more perception of

these things. For example, I did notice a sluggishness and generalized

frustration at not being able to get things done (I nearly always fight

for speed in progress). Outside that, I keep plugging away."

"Dear Jarad: Well, that's a fairly accurate perception of the Moon

transiting the area of the sky where Saturn was aspecting at that time!

So.... your experience is to be naturally expected.

What is possible, however, is to adjust differently just because you're

now grasphing the 'real' reason behind this 'slugishness'.

So...instead of straining, feeling frustrated.... or just plugging along,

let go and accept that things might be taking more time.

In other words, be more patient....at this exact time, just because

that's the more 'right' thing to do.

Knowing when to push ahead, more and when to hold back....are two

of the most powerful things we can learn in Jyotish.

Saturn, obviously is the Planet of 'holding back'....and Mars is the one

where sometimes we really do need to push ahead, persist... or be dynamic!

Section Three:

'Other Important Transits,

Going on, Now.......'

Notice how the Moon is moving towards it's final Quarter....and New Moon,

status on the 23rd of December.

This is an important aspect to the up-coming Transits, and if we don't take

this into account we'll experience a Christmas tension that's not really

necessary!

The Christmas tension, this year...is we have so many things to do; presents to

buy, deserts to make, parties to attend...

and yet.... Christmas is arriving this year...when the Moon is becoming

completely still!

If we could have a more quiet...Christmas and allow ourselves.... to rest

and be easy....

then, by the time of the New Year, on the lst of January.... the Moon will be

more then 1/2 Full!....

So...if you can.... take better care of yourself...over the next 7 days....

and your Christmas.... which is actually, 2 days past the New Moon!

will be sweeter!

Though if you can't and end up neglecting your rest....don't be surprised if

you feel a little flat.... and even Christmas.... drury....

This is not because of Christmas but because we may not have rested deeply,

enough!

Especially during the Waning Period of the Moon!

Section Four:

3 Pillars of Jyotish!

In addition to the Transits, there are all the details and realities

of our Charts as well as the specific qualities of our Dasas!

When you learn to look at your Astrological life, long enough,

at some point you'll realize: 'Wow, everything I go through, I

can find in either my Transits, Dasas or even, Chart!"

That happened to me, at some point, and it can happen to you.

Our Charts: All the details of our Astrological Charts,

represent every detail of our Physiology, Psychology and Personality!

Our Dasas: Dasas, mean, 'Time Periods'. Our Dasas,

of which there are 3, represent the precise, specific, flavors or karmas

of our chart, coming to us at any and every moment.

Knowing how we're being effected by these 'karmic' dasa periods, is

an absolutely profound and unique aspect to Jyotish-Astrology!

The Dasas capture our natural, emotionalism of what's going on.

Why one moment we may suddently feel we need a change, and either

like moving here or doing this or that! Understanding what the Future

will bring, is one of the most wonderful aspects to Dasas, Jyotish.

The Transits: The Transits reflect how the actual Sun,

Stars, Moon and Planets will be effecting us in the here and now, our

day-to day life.

Discovering how intensely we are effected by this 'Reality' of the Stars,

is one of the interests of the Transits.

We will learn quickly, in even 1 or 2 month's if we watch the Moon.

Discovering how to maneuver within the realm of the 'Transits', is also

a great acquired Jyotish skill!

The Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida has put up a very

interesting Java applet on their site. It begins as a view of the

Milky Way Galaxy viewed from a distance of 10 million light years and

then zooms into towards Earth in powers of ten of distance. 10

million, to one million, to 100,000 light years and so on and then it

finally reaches a large Oak tree leaf. But that is not all . It zooms

into the leaf until it reaches the level of the quarks viewed at 100

attometers.
