Guest guest
Dear members, There has been a querry by shri Paras Jain regarding Kal Sarp yoga . Here I explain all the planetary combinations and yog associated with `Sarp' Sarp Yoga : When three Kendra-sthan are occupied by malefics [ other than rahu and ketu ] a sarp yoga is formed . It is one of the DALA yoga under the Nabhas category. Sarp Dosh : If any of the following planetary combination is there then Sarp-Dosh is formed. 1.Rahu aspecting weak 5th house from Lagna, 2. Weak 5th lord aspected by Rahu, 3. 5th lord weak,Guru in conjunction with Rahu and Lagna lord with Mars. 4. Mesha or Vrischika in the 5th house and 5th lord Mars is with Rahu aspected by Budha. 5. When Guru in 5th in Kendra to Mandi. 6. Rahu is in the 7 th and surya and chandra in the lagna Sarp Shrap: The same as the sarp dosh. Sarp Badhak: When Badhak –sthan or the Badhakesh have any association with rahu , it is called as Sarp-badha . Kalsarp Yoga: When all the planets are between Ketu and Rahu , counted in zodiacal order, then the Kalsarp yoga is formed. It is important to note here that the planets must be between Ketu and Rahu , counting from Ketu onwards. Quite a few astrologers consider this yoga by planets being on either side of the Ketu-rahu axis . That is wrong. The logic is that the planets must be in front of Rahu ie. between the Rahu's mouth and its tail. Since the Rahu movement is retro therefore the planets must fall between Ketu and Rahu … counting in zodiacal order from Ketu. Some astrologers consider the rasi only , and even if a planet is out of the ketu-rahu axis [ in longitudes ] but in the same rasi , these astrologers would still call it a Kalsarp yoga. Astrologically speaking Kal Sarp yoga occurs only when all the planets are between the Ketu-Rahu axis, if any planet is out of this axis , in longitudes , then there is no Kal Sarp yoga. Incidentally there is an interesting book "Kalsarp Yoga" by Dr.Radhakrishna Shrimali . This book is entirely devoted to this yoga and its effects. with regards, Upadhyay
