Guest guest
Dear Neeraj-ji and Surya-ji: For the benefit of all, enlighten us to the efficacy of Mantras so that we can reach our potentials be healed in body, mind, and soul achieve peace of mind and serve humanity and God with love. However if a person is not initiated in any mantra, or if one is just afraid of the mishap in a wrong recitation, is one to conclude that one is not qualified to worship the Supreme Lord and the various Deities? What might be the best way to proceed? Please advice. Also if possible give us an account of the Glory of chanting OM NAMAH SHIVAYA as to the benefits of performing Japa to this Mantra. (Stories, Siddhis, and any pertinent information). Guest guest
~ Dear Jose ~ I am just writing all the matter below as a student of Vedic Astrology with whatever limited knowledge I possess. But one must try to follow the sattvic practices. One should recite the mantras of Ishta Devta and Dharma Devta. It removes most of the problems. The mantra of Ishta Devta is for sipiritual progress or Soul, the effect will be slow but will be for long period (even carried to next birth). It is used for emancipication of soul to the GOD. After living a good (or rather peaceful) life, one soul is guided towards moksha (which as per ved's is the ultimate goal of any human being). On the other hand, Dharma Devta helps the native to achieve those goals which one wishes to attain in *this life*. There has been one very good example or way of doing this. Take a plain page, on the top of it, place a photograph of Dharma Devta and Below it write the mantra. Now write whatever you wish to achieve in life. Try to be as specific as possible (realistic too). Now daily keeping this page in front of you and recite the mantra in multiples of 108. See how things progresses. So one should recite mantra of Ishta Devta and Dharma Devta. Also based on your dasha running, you can recite a mantra of a malefic planet to protect yourselves against malefic effects. Remember Human life is a series of ups and downs and no one is spared not ever Shri Rama and Shri Krishna was left. One can minimize losses and problems but *cannot* eliminate them. They too are required to feel the happiness of good times. And also one does not go for remedial measure until God wants it. Hope this might be of some help to you and other members, Kind regards, Neeraj Gupta --- surya vishnubhotla <surya_prakashv wrote: > Dear Jose, > > What mantra you need is depending on what you want > to > achieve through it ... > > Thanks for starting off the topic ..
