Guest guest
Namaste. There is a new virus called W32/Gibe-F spreading everywhere. My PC was infected and it bothered me all the day today. It creates so much trouble in the PC itself, does not let Norton Anti Virus to load at start up ! Also it keeps the memory busy, and do so much prob. It creates a file named Aaouizo.exe in C:\windows and if you try to delete the file, it will say that windows is using the file and that is why you can not delete it. If you delete the file from DOS or safe mode, it will create more prob and then you will not be able to run any kind of program / application, not even notepad in your PC. That is why do not open any mail from anyone subjects, "Newest network security patch" or anything like this. Check for latest upgrade to anti virus clients. When your PC is infected it will send same mail to random addresses and if the address does not exist you will get the mail returned mail - delivery failure etc and it will bother you. I got around 50 mails like this! If you are already infected then do the following - Restart your PC, press F8 when it boots, select 'command prompt only'. Then type - ren autoexec.bat autoexec.bak Then type - scanreg/restore It will prompt you to restore an old registry. Restore an old registry from the date when your PC was not infected. However, restore the latest safe registry. Then restart your PC and go to C:\windows and delete the file. And also check your full system with latest upgrade of anti virus client you use. Best wishes, Tanvir What can not happen, can never happen. Which is mine, is forever mine.
