Questions on Arudhas

Dear Rafal Ji and Visti Ji,

 

Could you kindly comment shortly on the significance of Arudha

Lagna, in Prashna Charts, e.g. what does it signify?

 

I have consulted Prashna Marga by B.V. Raman to no avail. It looks

both lagna and AL are treated equally/similarly in this treatise.

 

You had noted;

[Rafal] Lagna is querrient , twelfth house is astrologer, in

Vivaha-prasna Lagna is life of bride. Question is seen from house

occupied by Arudha Lagna.

 

A somewhat related question is about whether we see physical

appearance from lagna itself or Arudha Lagna. I have read many

things on this topic, and there is mention about Arudha Lagna (or

Arudhas for that matter) as "what has manifested", but I see

experienced Jyotishis considering lagna itself for physical traits,

could you kindly illuminate. What confuses me here is that physical

traits can also be considered to be what has manifested, or, are

Arudhas only what is experienced by others?

Udaya lagna and Arudha lagna are key in Prasna.

concept of Arudh in practice is different in Prasnaalthough word has same

meaning.Arudha pada is not used in Prasna.Arudh in prasna is based on direction

mounted by querent or taken by first letter uttered or figure sought say 1-108 /

1-209 etc or by placement of gold or finger on rasi chakra.

Various point(sphutas) of importance are derived based on arudha in Prasna.

A serious study of Prasna Marg is indispensable.
