Dear Hari,

 

Hariram is 4 aksharas: Ha + ri + ra + ma and Hari is of course is two aksharas.

Now let us analyse.

 

Hariram: Influence of sthira rashi will imprint on you when using this name. The

first nama rashi is derived from 'ha' akshara corresponding with Punarvasu

nakshatra and falls in Gemini. Gemini is the 8th house of the rashi chart and

is in Chandra Kendra. It is fully aspected by the Moon and has the rasi drishti

your lagna, affirming the affliction to your health and life. Scorpio denotes

diseases and nija roga. The lord Mars is in Kuja Stambhana, while the co-lord

Ketu is in the sign of Cancer, the natural sign for healing. It is 9th from

the AL, which is a good placement. Above all, you have Jupiter placed in

getting self-reliant at the time. This change of attitude altered your bhagya.

Hariram, but altering your name to Hari changed your fortunes, and you saw the

BTW, my original name was HariRam (3 aksharas; moon in dual sign) but later

chopped to Hari (2 aksharas). Sarbani, would love your comments on this!

That is a masterclass in the analysis of namakshara! This analysis is worth

preserving as an example of how the change in name influences the fortunes of

the jataka.

 

It also proves how destiny works in strange and subtle ways! My elder brother

was named SriRama so my paternal grandfather chose some name that sort of

rhymes with that name (HariRama)...indeed this name was registered in the birth

certificate (as well as mentioned in the nadi reading) but when the same

certificate was submitted for registration at school, the name got altered to

Hari somehow! Destiny at work here?

 

Your inferences are all mostly correct except for the dates which I would place

circa 1977-78. Just want to add that you would have noticed Mars is the

atmakaraka tightly conjunct Rahu and the best way of combating Rahu's influence

is namajapa of Hari Hara...Shiva Shiva Sambho...

 

Way to go, Sarbani! Follow nature and ergo Varahamihira in showing how

naisargika dasa can be used to effectively time most events.
