In the

chart of Raja Perry, Rahu is AK and in Leo navamsa, with Moon in twelfth from

that. Hence the Mother becomes the Ishta devata, as per Jaimini. Really the

Ishta is supposed to be a form of Vishnu, but tell that to Christians and Jews.

Point is in understanding the nature of the devata who will bring one to that

light of vishnu. For those of us who know, we can take his name directly.

look into mantras and gemstones can be learnt from the book of Sanjay Rath:

Vedic Remedies in Astrology. I recommend studying this first.

I am new to this list and also new to learning Joytish. If I may ask questions

from time to time, in my case very basic ones, perhaps members/Gurus would be

gracious and answer, I would be very grateful...

I am trying to learn by following the MP3s of Sanjay ji's lectures plus

materials I have found on various other "affiliated" sites eg Freedom

ji, PVR Rao ji etc.

Devi/Mother is the Ista Devata (12th house from AK has Saturn in it).

Somewhere I read that Ista Devata should be prayed to in the appropriate

form of one of Vishnu Das Avatars. How to decide when Ista Devata should

be in one of Vishnu 10 avatars and when say like in the case below

more ecompassing Devi form? Are there instances where the Ista devata is a

specific roopa of Mother?

remedy eg. wearing a gemstone can be "wrong" remedy and give

negative results if the wrong gem is worn, can the same be said of mantra

remedies too, even though they are sattvic?

at the number of letters and syllables in it to take the energy from a

particular house to strengthen another house; does that weaken the house

that the energy comes from? If it does weaken the house then does that

mean that if you want to eg strengthen 3rd house and use a 3-3-3 mantra

the energy is coming from the devata and not another house?

I have lots more questions but I don't want to annoy you all! Plus I am sure a

lot of my questions will be answered when my books arrive and I can dive in.
