Guest guest Posted March 16, 2006 Report Share Posted March 16, 2006 Some [but not all] of the calculation variables that can change the results from program to program are;planetarty positions [topocentric or geocentric] what is considered sunrise [center of sun or tip of sun - apparent or true]ashtakavarga calculations [Parasara or Varamihira]I primarily use Jagannatha Hora and Maitryea's Dream and always receive the same results for the features they have in common. I have also had my chart calculated on Parasara's Light and Goravani Jyotish and have also received the same results.In fact, I have Parasara's Light 2000, and recently discovered that it does not calculate Gulika correctly [this was verified by the makers Geovision - who stated that this bug has been corrected in current versions], I discovered this because of discrepancies between charts I calculated with JHora and Parasara's Light, with JHora giving the accurate results. This will be the Arudha of that particular house. An Arudha pada cannot fall in it's house of origin or the 7th from it - if it does - take the 10th house from there. For example - in the case of your Upapada Counting from your 12th house lord is placed in the 7th there from, so the Arudha would then go the 12th house itself. But we must take the 10th house from there, which ends up in Libra in the 9th house. For your Arudha Lagna - you must consider that Aquarius is lorded by Saturn and Rahu.
