Guest guest
Dear Vistiji, In one of the messages, you have given Sanjayji's note on Amavasya dosha remedy. Until I accumulate the money for amavasya dosha remedy, i wanted to do the other remedy, which Sanjayji has given "For those who cannot perform the elaborate ritual, it is advisable to install a simple water pot and worship the Sun & Moon near it with the mantra¡Çs." Can you please provide the mantras (¡ÈApyayasva¡É (AaPyaayasva) for the Moon and the Mantra ¡ÈSavita¡É (saivata) for the Sun.) and the number of times of recitation and the timing of recitation. Your help is gratly appreciated. Thanks, Usha

Guest guest
||Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Usha, Namaskar I only just arrived home Sunday night, so this is the first time i see your message. I have the mantra for Soma. It is: ä pyäyasva sometu te viçvataù soma våñëayam| bhavä väjasya saìgathe||16|| There is a sloka just like this, following this verse, however it is not in exact gayatri chandah, so i prefer the given one above. I found this in the Rg Veda when i myself tried to find these mantras. However the Savita mantra i could not find, as its occurences (in the begining of the verse) are in many slokas. I’m cc’ing this mail to Sanjay Rath, for clarification. Also, please advise, whether the mantras should be recited on amavasya day. Also the number and time of recitation.
