During a

solar eclipse it is said to be the BEST time to worship the forms of the Sun,

i.e. Sürya, Agni or Shiva should be worshipped. Among the Shiva forms, Sri

Dakshinamoorty is the most popular during this time, as he is the form which

removes the eclipse of our minds and give enlightenment. So why not worship him

with a simple mantra such as; Om Dakshinamurtaye Namah, and/or recite the

Dakshinamurti Stotra.
