Guest guest
Namaskar, Today morning, I had a really disturbing dream involving my younger brother, parents, grandmother (who passed away several years back) and a friend (with whom I have not had any contact for several months). There were other people but not significant. The primary event was death because of an animal (an ape I think). I remember the details very vividly but the contents were very disturbing and I am afraid to even put them down in words. It ended with my parents asking me to go to the pooja altar in our house (which did not resemble any of our current or past residences). There is some context to this dream which makes me think this was just a message for me. About a couple of weeks back I stopped doing my daily puja which I had religiously been doing for several years unless I was not able to. The reasons for my doing so were partly frustration. I also stopped wearing my rings and a pendant which I wore everyday after my pooja. I was sleeping with my head towards the North which is apparently not advised under Vasthu. (I switched to South when I woke up from the dream). My details: June 18, 1975, 11:45pm, Madras, India Dream details: September 25, 2005, 96W20, 30N38 Time of dream: Approx. 4:00am to 4:15am. I woke up from the dream at 4:15am and in "dream time" it wasn't a very long one. I would like learned members and gurus to comment on the event. Any help in understanding and making sense of the dream will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Vinod
Guest guest
"Bookman Old Style";color:#FF0080">||Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Vinod, Namaskar Did you know that Pitrupaksha is going right now until the New Moon in Kanya? This is the time when Yama will take all your oblations and give them to your ancestors. Gayatri is the best to do during this time, especially if you know the Yama Gayatri. As for Rings, I hope you were not wearing a Pearl or Diamond, as these are joined/lording the sixth house in your chart and will block the mantras from working. Death is quite auspicious in dreams, if it involves oneself. Please describe the further details of the dream for us. Guest guest
Dear Visti ji, Thanks for replying! > Did you know that Pitrupaksha is going right now until the New Moon in > Kanya? Yes, I am aware of the significance of the current period. We refer to it as "Mahalaya Paksham" and I believe the "Mahalaya Amavasya" is particularly significant. I started my puja again today (Wed). I felt that with Jupiter moving into my Rasi (Virgo to Libra) and today being Ekadasi (fasting) it would be a good day to start. I am not familiar with Yama Gayathri. I usually do japa of Sudarshana Moola Mantra, Gayathri and Ganesha Moola Mantra. > As for Rings, I hope you were not wearing a Pearl or Diamond, as these are > joined/lording the sixth house in your chart and will block the mantras from > working. I am not sure I understand this correctly: Is Moon = Pearl and Venus = Diamond? My 6th house is lorded by Moon and has Venus in it. Does the parivartan between Moon and Venus have any influence on this? Anyway, the only gemstone ring I wear is Topaz set in silver. I also wear a Garnet set in silver as a necklace (on black thread). I've been wearing the Garnet for quite a while now and Topaz since this summer. > Death is quite auspicious in dreams, if it involves oneself. Please describe > the further details of the dream for us. The death in my dream was of my brother. The cause of death is some kind of large animal (like an ape or a gorilla). I roam around a couple of streets trying to figure out what happened and whether my parents have been informed. I meet with one group of people on the second (US count) floor of an apartment after which I go through another street and run into a college friend. Somewhere right before or after meeting that group, I run into my paternal grandmother (who passed away several years back). Eventually I end up at an apartment where my parents are there. They are all in a mournful state and as soon as I enter, they ask me to go to the Puja area first. I'm not sure if it was raining but I had the feeling that it was wet all around. That's when I woke up. As mentioned in my earlier email, I had stopped my regular puja a couple of weeks back. My parents, who are presently staying with me in the US, of course were not too enthusiastic about it but did not overtly try to push me to resume my regular prayers. The transit of Jupiter from 12th to 1st (w.r.t. moon) yesterday seems to have generally brought some clarity to my thought, although it could simply be a placebo effect since I was looking forward to it, after almost a year of mental and emotional turbulence. Is there anything that can be said based on the chart for the dream itself? Thanks for your input and help! Sincerely, Vinod
