Guest guest
Dear Saurav, You mentioned in your answer "w.r.t." sequence of letters. What does it stand for? The problem is to find the lord of a house which contains Scorpio or Aquarius. The solution is: A)Both Lords lord at the same time B)One is more dominating, the one which is stronger C)Lords give their respective results dependent on dasa, and change bhava arudha D)Even if one Lord is stronger, see the results with the other Lord. Alogorithm to find stronger Lord. Sources: 1.Rafal 2.Sourav 3.Blog link 4.Narasimha's book Vedic Astrology-In App 5.Narasimha's Boston lectures 1.Rafal -see which planet in a pair associates with more grahas -see which planet associates with Mercury or Jupiter -compare avastha of grahas in question 2.Sourav find which one within a given pair of planets is stronger -if one of the planets is placed in the sign in question, the other planet will be the lord, no matter of the strength difference -if both planets are outside the sign, then count the number of planets each planet is conjoined with. One with more planets conjoined is stronger. -if both planets associate with the same number of planets then, see the nature of planets w.r.t and see which one is more comfortable, and hence stronger -if this doesn't give clear answer, see the sign placement a)planet in exaltation, moolatrikoina or friendly sign is stronger b)if one planet associates with more friendly planet then the other(in case of equal number of associates), one with better relationship is stronger. 3.Blog link http://varahamihira.blogspot.com/2004_11_15_varahamihira_archive.html I assume you meant this link. It pertains to the computing of Narayana Dasa but mentiones determining the stronger planet within a pair Ra/Sa Ke/Ma >From there I read: Let P=(a,b) be a given pair of planets, Pk=def=(Ke,Ma)), Pr=def= (Ra,Sa); P={Pk,Pr} -if a,b are both in the same sign, there is no problem for dasa period, but I see the problem for the lords determination. This is actually my case. My fifth house is Scorpio, Mars and Ketu are both in the Lagna. -if a(b) is in the sign and b somewhere else, b(a) is the Lord -if a, b are not in the sigh, we determine stronger sign -a sign with more planets is stronger -sign asspected by Mercury, Jupiter or its Lord is stronger(rasi aspects) -status of the planets should be considered -dual signs>fixed signs>movable signs -even sign is stronger if its lord is in odd sign and odd sign is stronger if its lord is in even sign -higher dasa period rule -atmakaraka rule -degree rule. 4.Narasimha's Book Page 173 has the paragraf "Stronger Co-Lord" which is recapitulation of the blog link with one differnce. I will copy the beginning of the paragraph: "When we find the arudha pada of a house falling in Scorpio or Aquarius, we need to find the stronger of Mars and Ketu and Saturn and Rahu. The stronger lord ACTS ITS LORD(here must be a typo, suggestion "acts AS its lord") and decides the arudha pada. The stronger lord of Sc/Aq is also used in finding the duration of its dasa in many rasi dasas such as Narayana dasa" So, the procedure of finding stronger lord for Sc/Aq is used for: 1.finding arudha pada 2.duration of rasi dasas 3.analyzing influence of the lord of a house containing Scorpio/Aquarius signs. Let me now apply this knowledge in my case. Data: Date:July 30th 1972 Time:4.46AM Place: Lng 16E02 Ltd 45N49 Time zone:+1(Zagreb, Croatia, ex Yugoslavia) Scorpio is in 5th and Mars and Ketu are in Lagna with Sun and Mercury. This is situation not discussed as per finding stronger lord. The situation for rasi dasa computation is given, though. So which one is stronger actually? Let me apply it to Aquarius. Saturn is in 11th house and Rahu in 7th, both are alone. Aquarius is 8th house, Cancer Lagna. I see Rahu in Capricorn rasi-asspected by Saturn who lords Capricorn, so Rahu is Stronger then Saturn. What can be said for 8th house if the lord is in 7th? Thank you all Govinda
