Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Shruti-ji, Namaskar. with my limited understanding let me offer my views. Atmakaraka graha indicated the theme of our present existence. More precisely, it indicated the direction our individual self gets education and experience in this present life, which, if we properly understand and follow, will enable our soul to have a greater degree of freedom in this world of Maayaa. The Sun is Vishwaatmakaraka of the representative of the Universal Soul. The Sun is the King. A king teaches or gets things done not by coaxing or cajoling but by orders, reprimands or even punishments. If AK graha is in close proximity to the Sun, the native better follow his dharma in a strict sense or else may be severely afflicted. A severe affliction, from a positive point of view, means a strong teaching which hopefully brings the native back on track. Combustion is not a desireable phenomenon and a combust planet is like in the third eye of Siva and is in for dire consequences if stipulations of the dharma are not met. Guest guest
Om Krishna Guru Namaste May I please ask a question of you. My AK is Rahu and Ketu is conjunct Surya in Aries in the first. I have read that Ketu conjunct Surya can often promote difficulties with the father. In my case the difficulty was that he died when I was ten years old. I adored him and feel his loss every day, I am now in my mid-forties! My question is, does this situation suggest that our attachment to each other is/was too great, albeit a sattwic attachment born of love? Was his loss a Spiritual lesson? It is not that close a conjunction, 15 degrees. It is of interest to me that Mars, lord of Surya and Ketu is in the eleventh and within several years of my fathers death I developed a life-long passion for the science of the stars, would you consider this to be a link between the AK and the eleventh. Rahu's lord, Shukra is exalted in the twelth house. I appreciate being able to ask this question of you and thank you for any consideration you give it. Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Richa-ji, Namaskar. Close combustion is akin to a planet being in the third eye of Siva and does not necessarily mean spiritual boost. Instead it means that because of some weakness/error in one's past life, that area of the life is under severe scrutiny and may cause problems during dasa or sub-dasa. If one considers a period of latitude in addition to longitude with the Sun at the center, it looks and Eye. This is what Visti-ji taught me a long time ago. As to spirituality, removing everything negative in life will bring spirituality. If the weakness is forcibly removed (burned up by the Sun) through punishing circumstances, and if the Self realizes its mistakes, its definitely good for spirituality. But the key word is 'realizing'. If the native doesn't realize, then he/she keeps suffering on account of one'e weakness which bring punishment. Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Radha-ji, Namaskar. The nodes with the Sun is not considered combust but are eclipses. Eclipses are not good as far as mundane activities of life are concerned. Personally, if I were to prefer between one eclispe over the other, I will always prefer Ketu eclipse as it tends to give a spiritual turn in the event's aftermath. Ketu eclipsing Sun can show problem for father as the Sun is the sthirapitrukaraka. Sun also shows your own health although Mars in strength may prove to be beneficial. If it is not a close conjunction, it is perhaps not that important. Ke doesn't have a place in 8-planet charakaraka scheme. But Ke is universal mokshakaraka and hence finds its office (moolatrikona) in the 12-th sign of the zodiac which is the sign of equilibrium after the pulls and pushes of desires are abated. Hence, Ke shows spirituality sometimes in a raw form. Ke can also give luxuries and material achievements as it tends to quicken the enjoyment etc so that the native can proceed towards satiety and may give up those desires. In your case your AK Ra is in the 7H and is aspecting 11H with both Rasi and Graha Drishti. 11H is lorded over by Mars who is lord of 8H of occult. Ke is also co-lord of 8H and is in the Lagna. Thus there is a strong atma-level force towards learning occult sciences. Incidentally, assuming you have a child/children, how is the personality of him. I'm somewhat inclined to believe you have a son. Guest guest
Dear Saurav, In one's own chart the AK and Lagnesh Surya combusts the co-lord of the 7th and is placed with an Amavasya Tithi exalted Chandra in the 10th House. (11th June, 1972; 10:17AM; Cuttack, Orissa, India) I am single and this could also be due to UL in the 8th and Shukra and Guru both Vakri. What role do you think combustion is playing here? Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Richa-ji/Ritu-ji, Namaskar. What is the significance of Sa being AK graha ? Being combust increases that significance much more. This is how to understand. The lordships of Sa is curtailed being close to Sun.
