Guest guest
Hare Krsna -- The ekadasi vratam (no grain eating, fasting if possible) is followed by all the ISKCON devotees / other vaishanva devotees. Today ekadasi ends in the noon. It started yesterday afternoon. Some of them followed it yesterday. Either way, both should have sinned as the ekadasi is from yesterday noon to today noon. Astrologically is there a reason / justification why most of them follow one full day instead of the time at which ekadasi starts. The same question I would like to ask for janmashtami, where in it started on 26th noon and navami came in by 27th noon of this month. Then the fasting should have been done from 26th noon to 27th noon. Some did it on 26th full day and some on 27th full day (including Iskcon). Isn't that not correct? Cuz either they have done for half-saptami and half-asthami or half-ashtami and half-navami..but none for full asthami. Thanks in advance for your responses. ff possible, pls give me some links or books where I can find some material about this. regards -Prasad
Guest guest
I think the counting for this is in Hari-Bhakti-Vilasa from Sanatana Goswami.
