Guest guest
Dear Gurus and Members, Hare Krsna Rama. On the page 31 of Vedic Astrology-An Integrated Approach there is an algorithm which finds friends, enemies and neutrals for every planet except Rahu and Ketu. This algorithm gives the following result acording to my application: Rahu Friends:Sun,Venus, Neutrals:Mercury,Jupiter,Saturn,Mars Enemies:Moon Ketu Friends:Moon,Mars Neutrals:Mercury,Saturn,Venus,Jupiter Enemies:Sun Is this proper conclusion? Thank you Govinda

Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krsna || Dear Govinda, Namaskar Rahu gets debilitated in a sign of Jupiter - so that changes the relationship from neutral to enemy. Similarly it gets exalted in Gemini, so Mercury is actually a friend instead of neutral. Similarly things can be changed for Ketu. HOWEVER it seems that the relationships of the nodes are more commonly defined based on other things. A few observations: 1. Sarvarth Chintamani says that both Rahu and Ketu are friendly towards Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. 2. Meanwhile, we know that both Rahu and Ketu can eclipse the Sun or the Moon - which one could argue should make them both inimical to the luminaries. Similarly we know that Guru-Chandala combinations are most unwanted, and that could perhaps mean that the two are inimical to one another. I you look at the relationships used in Jagannatha Hora, you'll find them very different to those obtained by the Upachaya/7th house method, instead including the above two points. I think there must have been a reason that the relationships of the nodes were not explicitly defined by the Maharishis - what that is, however, I have yet to learn. Perhaps it depends on what we are looking at - material or spiritual matters. Best wishes, Samir "govinda108m" <govinda108m Mon Jul 18, 2005 3:36 pm Friends, neutrals and enemies of Rahu and Ketu Dear Gurus and Members, Hare Krsna Rama.
