Birth Paaya

I would like to have some information on Birth Paaya. Apparently this concept is

much in vougue in NORTH INDIA, but not in South.

 

I have heard of Paaya only with regards to Sade Sati. i.e whether it is gold,

copper or iron depending on the position of moon when Sade-Sati begins.

 

WOuld appreciate if some one can throw light on this.
