Om Ganeshay Namah

Shree Gurave Namah

Dear Soumit,

Namaste.

I changed the subject line because this topic is in itself quite

interesting. You have not only this similarity, but a lot of other

similaities too, across borders and continents and religions.

Language is only a small part.

I pose just a few -

1. Manu had a boat during pralaya-MATSYAVATAR, as also did have NOAH.

2. Why all the popular GODs/GOD figures were shepherds? Shri Krishna,

Hazrat Muhammad Saheb, Jesus Christ or be it Lord Tirupati?

3. The Snakes are shown as part of the crown not only in Egypt but

also in Kashmir, India. I do not know if sumerians did also use such

symbols.

4. In none of the myths across world, there exists any reference to

such ghosts and spirits who did not become powerless during the day /

SUN's presence and powerful during night.

A lot of other things and stories of demigods also have similarity

acoss the world.

Would be inteesting to know more of these.

Radhekishna!

occured to me that the snake story has a parallel in

Judeo-Christanity. Genesis in the Old Testament talks about the snake

that lured Eve and Eve lured Adam into eating the fruit from the tree

of knowledge, and made God angry.

We all know that the word "Ma" is cross cultural. Then there are many

other basic words, other than the numbers (saptam, ashtam, dwa etc)

that are universal. For instance take the next word "father" and that

to is universal.
