Guest guest
HAre Krishna Dear Govinda, Did you know that on the MP3s are all the handouts from the classes themselves? Also if you go to Sanjays site you can also read another article on Atmakaraka www.srath.com/lectures/lectures.htm He gave a complete lecture on AK in 2003 Mp3s.Look for that handout. One of the best planets to have for a spiritual person is Rahu as AK. 1) the lagna IN the navamsa chart(1s thouse) is called Lagnamsa. So if Rahu is IN or aspecting(preferably by rashi drishti)the LAGNAMSA that is a connection. If the AK is in the 7th house from lagnamsa then the person will rise then though being born in a lessor position. There are a number of indications , you can also read about it in Sanjays "Jaimini Upadesa Sutras" NOW here is where distinction is- 2)The place where the AK is placed in the navamsa becomes the KARAKAMSA LAGNA.After reading the handout and the article you will be able to understand how to use BOTH lagnas- they are different and used for different purposes. One thing you will be interested in learning is to see if you have malefics in trines from your KARAKAMSA lagna, as this will indicate previous knowledge of mantra ,tantra etc/ 3) Isthadevata- Is the strongest planet in the 12th house from the AK planet IN THE NAVAMSA chart.see page 22 in Sanjays "Vedic Remedies" for a list of Vishnu Avataras.(Das avataras) If there is no planet in the 12th house from the AK in navamsa then see the lord to help you determine. FOr example. mine is unoccupied, but lord is Mars and Mars is in Virgo, so i have taken LOrd Narasimha deva.(incidently that was(is) my favorite Diety i worshiped anyway. Moon(Krishna) is also aspecting by graha dristhi, but that is just considered as a desire,, im in a rush now, but if you read through the handouts and also the articles on Sanjays web site im sure you will understand. Most helpful way perhaps to figure out navamsa lagna is to see what material abilites you have, like if you are an artist or singer, verses , an engineer, those types of planets will be in trines to lagnamsa. also malefics in 4th house in navamsa can give bad health during its dasas, there are many things , like using the date of marraige can also be used to correct navamsa lagna, keep in mind, lagna is you and 7th is spouse, so in general the general planetary influences should be similiar somehow to Rasi chart. For example , if in rasi chart you have sat in own sign in 7th house and receiving no aspects from other planets, in navamsa the 7th house should also show some strong connection with Saturn.. Or , if you arent married and probably wont ever get married you can see if any renunciation yogas are formed in the 1/7 axis in navamsa, Im not expert on rectification, but later if i have time i can look at your chart and help you, if you can post some important detials about your life, others on list might beable to help you, All the best, Lakshmi -- In , "govinda108m" <govinda108m> wrote: > Dear Gurus and Members, > > > I just started Jyotish and acquired some learning material, however > I cannot resist studying my own chart because of important life > decisions ahead of me, so please forgive me for asking a more > advanced question. > > I am listening to Pandit Sanjay Rath ji's lecture on Navamsa given > at 2004 West Coast Conference. Guest guest
Laksmi ji, I found all the charts of participants of the conference there on the CD, and then I could follow Sanjay ji' lecture better. Thank you. If I was born at 4.25-6AM, I have this combination of connection between Dharmadevata and Navamsa Lagna, but I don't have atma paramatma connection, because Dharmadevata is not connected to atmakaraka. But Sanjay says this discussion is related to material success, not spiritual, so I was relieved. It is also interesting, I have the Moon in 9th in Rasi, this indicates foregin travel and residence. I moved from Europe to Canada and I also traveled frmo Canada to India. D-9 explains Dharma Bhava. I wanted to live abroad and I succeeded, I didn't chant any Visnu mantra, except Hare Krsna mantra, though. So that might mean my birth time is more towards 4.25AM and not 4.30AM as the birth document says. [Visti] ‘Lagnamsa’ is actually not ‘navamsa lagna’. Instead Lagna-amsa, is the sign in the navamsa corresponding to the same sign as the lagna in the rasi. Example; Gemini is your lagna in the rasi chart, so any planet placed in Gemini in navamsa is said to be placed in Lagna-amsa. The technique of Rasi-Tulya-Navamsa then comes into the fore here.
