Guest guest
Sri Vistiji & List Members, While going through some of the yogas mentioned in the lectures I am catching up with, I came across the Tapaswi Yoga. My Saturn & Ke are conjunct in almost all the D charts and Venus is casting a rashi drishti on the pair in D1 & D9. I was wondering if this constituted as a Tapaswi Yoga. What I heard in lectures was that they are supposed to be in trines for a harmonious tapasya. Well I think I am undergoing a forced tapaswi experience, when I should not be at all, and being a first rate bhogi(d9 lagna is ta), let me tell you that it is indeed a very painful tapasya, and it is certainly not out of choice. So is there 2 kinds of tapaswi yogas? 1. where the native does so out of choice, and is at harmony 2. when the tapasya is imposed by the stars Vistiji pointed out in an earlier post that I am now running ra-ve, and I was wondering if Ve was going to prolong this tapasya. Hoping to collect your $0.02. Thanks Soumit
Guest guest
Dear Soumit, >From my limited understanding of Tapaswi yoga, what I have gathered, is that if the Lagna or Lagna lord is involved, then this makes for a strong yoga, one in which the native is very sincere and aware of their austerities and practices. If neither is involved, I have been told that such a person will work like a horse, no end, but with little appreciation for the benefit this may provide them. It is a lesser yoga, less impact say. Maybe this adds understanding to the experience you are having. Respectfully, Michal. java_sgt <java_sgt > wrote: Sri Vistiji & List Members, While going through some of the yogas mentioned in the lectures I am catching up with, I came across the Tapaswi Yoga. Guest guest
Thanks for your input. This would make strong Tapaswi yoga applicable only to Scorpio, Capricorn & Venusian natives.I have Ketu & Sa in Capricorn lagna and therefore the strong variety may apply. However the austerities are neither sincere nor are the practices are willed. What may be true is that I dont have to work like a horse at work, but I work a lot in general and fruits have not been a problem so far. Thanks again Soumit Michal Dziwulski <nearmichal > wrote: Hare Rama Krsna Dear Soumit, >From my limited understanding of Tapaswi yoga, what I have gathered, is that if the Lagna or Lagna lord is involved, then this makes for a strong yoga, one in which the native is very sincere and aware of their austerities and practices. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Dear Soumit, Just to clarify, as I should have been more specific; the yoga existing in trines to lagna, or, if lagna lord is involved in the Saturn, Venus, Ketu combination then the stronger aspect of the yoga is manifest. This then makes it applicable to all lagnas, and not just those whose lord are the tapaswi yoga planets. If as you say, the experiences you are having are not based in your own willed practice, then should we be looking at tapaswi yoga, or perhaps some other combination in the chart that gives a better explanation? On the other hand, perhaps the ability to bear austerity, albeit unwillingly, has been bestowed on you because of this yoga. Sincere regards, Michal. --- Soumit Guha <java_sgt wrote: > Dear Michal, > Thanks for your input. > This would make strong Tapaswi yoga applicable only > to Scorpio, Capricorn & Venusian natives. > I have Ketu & Sa in Capricorn lagna and therefore > the strong variety may apply. > However the austerities are neither sincere nor are > the practices are willed. > What may be true is that I dont have to work like a > horse at work, but I work a lot in general and > fruits have not been a problem so far. > Thanks again > Soumit > > > Michal Dziwulski <nearmichal wrote: > Hare Rama Krsna > > Dear Soumit, > > From my limited understanding of Tapaswi yoga, what > I have gathered, is that if the Lagna or Lagna lord > is involved, then this makes for a strong yoga, one > in which the native is very sincere and aware of > their austerities and practices. Guest guest
Dear Michal, Thanks for the clarification. I was looking up references and Jataka Parijata Chapter 1, Shl 51 mentions 9th house to be the house indicating Tapas So what you stated about trines to the lagna, ie 5th and 9th therefore coincide. Maybe one needs to have tapaswi houses in these positions too in order to be a true tapaswi. I have Venus as my 5th lord and Mercury in Virgo in my 9th. I guess neither of these two being tapaswi in nature, I am yet to take a begging bowl and knock at your doorstep. If my navaamsa did not indicate the same yoga, i would have blown it away. Meanwhile the tapas continues, while waiting for the apsara Soumit , Michal Dziwulski <nearmichal> wrote: > Hare Rama Krsna > Dear Soumit, > > Just to clarify, as I should have been more specific; > the yoga existing in trines to lagna, or, if lagna > lord is involved in the Saturn, Venus, Ketu > combination then the stronger aspect of the yoga is > manifest.
