Dear Nitin,

Namaskar. Asterism (nakshatra) is not a division of a

sign itself. There are 27 equal divisions of the zodiac each called

an asterism. One sign constitutes the span of two asterisms and a

portion of another next asterism.

Dear Nitin-ji,

Namaskar. No intention of carping. You said "further

division of a sign". Nakshatras are not further divisions *of

signs*. They are independant divisions of the zodiac. I wanted to

clarify it for the beginner.
