Please analyse the following chart. The person has been born in an

upper middle class family. He has become a problem to his parents and

siblings by not completing his education and running up a lot of debt.

He seems to have Gajakesari Yoga and his Jup and Moon are placed well.

Except for Rahu being placed in 12th there does not seem to be

anything glaringly bad.

Namaskar. I do not have time to devote to a chart

right now. I will just give some hints and points and you can follow

on.

 

1. See that Lagna in rasi chart (D-1) changes in 1min 54 sec. So

this is a close call. I will take the birth time as 16:48 and

analyse accordindly. If you do that then the whole complexion of the

chart changes dramatically. Ra comes in the La and the Lagna lord Ma

is in strength in the 6H. I believe the person has strong health but

has taken to bad habits as 6H is the house of bad habits.

 

2. Ju although forming a gajakesari yoga with benefic Moon, is very

weak 29deg42mins and is thus in Gandanda which is a bad position.

Gandanda is the junction between a fiery sign and a watery sign.

Here Ar is the fiery sign and Pi is the watery sign adjacent to it.

any planet lying within 1 degree of Gandanta is considered to be in

a very bad position.

 

3. Although 8L Me is in the 8H giving a Sarala yoga which is good,

but it has Sa and Su and fierce enemies and that too very very

closly conjunct (within 10' from each other). This particular fact

is not good because that means in every divisional chart Sa and Su

are likely to be together in a house.

 

4. In D-24 chart (chart of learning) the LL is Me in the 12-th house

of losses and the A4 arudha of the 4th house of formal learning is

in the 8H of breaks and setbacks. Ra and Ke are in the 5H and giving

paapargala to the 4H giving more hints that education will suffer.

However, one note of caution is that since we are still not sure

about the correctness of birth time, I will suggest not to go into

higher divisional charts.

estimations are good. I have a few things to say;

If the

birthtime is moven back to scorpio lagna, the navamsa lagna will be pisces,

housing the atmakaraka. This person would have been born in an upper class

family, or one with political power. Since i do not know whether this is true,

i will look at the rasi chart.

The main

point that you mentioned was that his parents had become disapointed with him.

In the

chart, the Moon is placed in the seventh from arudha lagna, showing that his

mother is his biggest critic and is openly critisizing him. However this need

not lead to much disapointment.

Next step

is to look for Pitri Badhaka. The badhaka sthana is joined Mercury, Sun and

Saturn. Though Mercury is well placed forming bhadra mahapurusha yoga, a

planetary was is going on between Sun and Saturn, making the Sun very weak. When

Sun is in badhaka sthana and joined Saturn or Mars (and weak), the native will

face pitri badhaka. Because the Sun is joined Saturn its due to sorrow or

disapointment of the father.

because the native has chosen to enter a the field of politics or some major

form of administration.

parents and cousins are placed very well. He does not have any

dependents.

His mother,father and sisters have been helping him - although they

are upset and have big differences of opinion. His education has

taken twice the number of years that it would normally take to

complete. He is unable to procure any employment and is running up

big debts. Expects family to bail him out each time. He is still

unmarried, his parents are trying to get him married. This is based

on an advice of an astrologer - told them that his luck will change

after marriage.

I had suggested remedial measures for Sun - atleast daily worship of

sun to start with.

Dear Padmaji

 

I happen to see this chart and tried analysis by just the nature of

planets. Please excuse me of any errors and please point them to me:

 

If we take the lagna as Dhanu. Rahu is in the 12th house (expenses)

and it is debilitated. Rahu is extrovert and expressive and therefore

an increases in the expenses. Rahu is frivolous and wasteful and

therefore increase in such non productive expenses. Its Drishti is on

lagna (special 2nd) and on 8th house (indicating increase of debts

through wasteful expenditure). Rahu drishti on Jupiter (lord of lagna

and lord of 4th house) by special 5th, is extremely damaging. Rahu's

wrong effects are generally countered or balanced by Jupiter. However,

Jupiter is under the Gandanda dosha and aspected by Rahua and Saturn.

It is not in the position to counter Rahu's ill effects.

 

Moon, the eighth lord aspects Jupiter and it would have elevated the

status of person by taking loans and then making profits, however, the

Gandanda yoga has destroyed this significant yoga.

 

Moon is the eighth lord and in the tenth, shows a fall from a position

of power bringing disgrace.

 

Saturn the 2nd house lord (family, wealth) is in the 7th house (6th

from it) showing challenges in the same. Mercury isn't kind to Saturn

in its own house. These brings issues of wealth and family and much

heartache in these areas.

 

Mercury with BudhaAditya yoga and Bhadra Mahapurusha Yoga should have

made him realize his folly. However, Mercury with Saturn can bring

tamas to thinking. Tamas would lead to taking the "wrong" as "right"

and "right" as "wrong". Furthermore, he thinks he knows better than

others and therefore, is unavailable to sound counsel.

 

Moon and Mercury in kendra position to each other seldom creates a

imbalance as regards to emotional or intellectual decision making.

This is another factor to look into.

 

Since 1982, Rahu Mahadasha started, he would have faced such problems.

Jupiter dasha is not going well either.

 

Remedial measures: Durga Saptashati should be chanted to mitigate

Rahu's ill effects. "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudeya" or "Om Namo

Naryanaaya" or "Hare Krishna" Japa should be performed every Wednesday

and Saturday.

 

This analysis is purely on the Lagna Chart without entering into any

divisional charts and just studying by the nature of planets and some

houses.

 

I remain in hands of learned Gurus of Jyotisha to correct me if I have

made an error in my judgment.

lagna.

Or

But what is with the theory of these other astrologers regarding

Dear Visti,

Sorry for not answering the question about his studies. He has been

to the university, private institutes, private coaching etc, but has

not been able to gain any skill.

He is telling me ( not asking ), that he would want to go to for

another private coaching to gain IT skills. I wish him good luck

with that, but practically speaking, if his learning skills seem

poor thus far, he is 30 years of age, it is a steep climb now.

Dear Visti, Padma

 

I think that you are right for Lagna Sagittarius. The big feature of

this chart is lagna gandanta dosha, i.e. lagna in junction of the

fire and water signs, which could affect intelligence of a native.

Here we have a junction occurring between Scorpion & Sagittarius,

called Pitri Gandanta.

 

S.Rath in his VRA quote Narada Muni, who stated that "abhukta moola

gandanta", i.e. junction between Scorpion & Sagittarius affect

particularly the father of a native.

 

Jupiter conjoining AL& DP, in 7th from UL, and Mercury 7th & 10th

and UL lord are 2 very important planets in this chart, giving

Hamsa and Bhadra mahapurusha yogas.

 

Unfortunately Jupiter is afflicted, being lord of Gandanta, in

addition to this Rahu & Saturn aspect Jupiter by graha drishtis,

which is a curse. Saturn conjoin 7th lord Mercury in Rasi and is in

parivartana with Mercury in navamsa, this parivartana occurring

between 2nd & 7th house from UL: not so good for long-lasting

relations. So, Saturn isn't good for 2 Mahapurusha yoga of this

chart.

 

This malefic role of Saturn will disappear, because AmK Saturn & BK

Sun are in the same degree and replacement of charakarakas will

occur. Saturn will become weaker and all factors influenced by

Jupiter (L -self, AL -image, DP, UL -spouse) and Mercury ( A11-

gains, 7th house/lord, UL-spouse) will improve. This can explain in

my sense the simultaneous improvement of situation and marriage.

 

S.Rath gives a fine supplementary method for determining the results

of gandanta.

Following this method, number of nakshatra of moon (14 in this

case) multiplied by 3 gives 42; adding the number of tithi (8) and

day of birth (3) we have 53 this sum divided by 8, we have 5 as

remainder, resulting in destruction of maternal relations.

PS. Let me try this rule taking the lagna instead of moon. May this

resolve the problem of Lagna?

For lagna Sagittarius: 19x3=57, 57+8+3=68, 68:8 gives 4 as

remainder, resulting I destruction of physical power and mental

strength.

For lagna Scorpion we have 1 as remainder, resulting in destruction

of ideals and personality.
