Guest guest
Dear Saumya je, The confusion can easily be solved by understanding different types of Sambandha and their strength. There are five types of relationships, namely; 1) Chhittra Sambandh 60 virupa (100%) 2) Drisht Chhittra Sambandh 48 virupa (80%) 3) Drisht Sambandh 36 virupa (60%) 4) Jagat Sambandh 24 virupa (40%) 5) Imaginary Sambandh 12 virupa (20%) Here I am forgetting name of 5th type, as I was read it some years ago in a Urdu book. Pleas note, Aspect means (complete i.e. 100%) graha drishti only. Dispositor means the lord of sign where a planet is occupied. The Sambandhas are described as; 1) When two grahas are placed in each other’s sign (ie. making parivartana) Chhittra Sambandh constitutes. For example Moon is into Pisces and Jupiter into Cancer; or Sun is into Virgo and Mercury is into Leo. This sort of association possesses great strength and involved planets give result of each other during dasha/bukhti. 2) When dispositor of any graha, aspects the occupant graha but occupant doesn’t aspect its dispositor. For example, Sun is occupied in Aries then Mars is the dispositor of the Sun. If Mars is into Virgo then it casts full aspect to Sun whereas Sun is not aspecting Mars. This type of Sambandh exists when one of the planets is Mars, Jupiter or Saturn. 3) When two planets fully aspect each other. For example Jupiter is into Libra and Moon is into Aries; or Mars is into Gemini and Saturn is into Virgo. 4) When two grahas are conjoined in a rashi. For example, Venus and Moon are placed in Pisces, Sun and Mercury is sitting together in Leo. 5) (a) When dispositor of any graha is placed in friendly sign of occupant. For example Mars is into Capricorn and Saturn (the dispositor) is placed in Sagittarius (a sign of Mars’ permanent friend- Jupiter). b) When any graha aspects its dispositor but dispositor doesn’t aspect occupant. c) When two planets are in mutual quadrant (4th or 10th to each other). d) When dispositor of any graha is conjoined friend of occupant. For example Venus is into Cancer and Moon (the dispositor) is conjoined with Mercury (permanent friend of Venus). Example Chart 1 February 17, 1955, 00:00:00 GMT; 67 E 03' 00", 24 N 52' 00" Lagna 27 Sag 37' 09.36" Sun 4 Aqu 19' 07.33" Moon 27 Sco 57' 41.42" Mars 0 Ari 08' 15.64" Mercury ® 25 Cap 22' 49.82" Jupiter ® 27 Gem 52' 50.81" Venus 18 Sag 46' 32.91" Saturn 27 Lib 48' 49.65" Rahu 9 Sag 42' 02.41" Ketu 9 Gem 42' 02.41" +--------------+ | |Ma | |JuR Ke | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |-----------+-----------------------+-----------| |Su | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |-----------| Rasi |-----------| |MeR | |GL | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |-----------+-----------------------+-----------| |As Ve |Mo HL |Sa |AL | |Ra Md | | | | |Gk | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------+ Illustration: Chart 1 1) No planet is involved in sign interchange (rashi parivartana), so no Chittra Sambandh exists. 2) Moon is into Scorpio and its dispositor Mars (being placed in Aries) aspects the Moon whereas Moon (occupant planet) doesn’t cast aspect to Mars. So Drisht Sambandh is creating between Mars and Moon (which contains 80% strength) 3) Venus and Jupiter are opposing each other results in Drish Sambandh. So as Mars and Saturn mutually aspect each other. 4) Rahu is along with Venus (if we take nodes), and Ketu with Jupiter causing Jagat Sambandh. 5a) Dispositor of Venus (i.e. Jupiter) is in Gemini, a sign owned by friend of Venus. So again Venus and Jupiter lead to Sambandh (5a), as defined earlier. 5b) Saturn is aspecting its dispositor Venus but Venus don’t see Saturn. So Venus and Saturn are also associated though capacity of their sambandh is 20%. 5c) Mars and Mercury are in 4th-10th to each other; similarly Saturn and Mercury are 4th-10th to each other.
