Dear Himanshu Ji and List Members, Namaskaar.

Allow me to elaborate a bit on the e-mail sent searlier.

The Rashi chart reveals the directions, as asked by you. Use the Houses to

support this.

Example:

The 1st House is the Lagna – the East.

The 7th House – West.

The 4th House – Noth.

The 10th House – South.

Consider the houses in between the Quadrants as the directions you enquired

about…

i.e. the span between the 4th House and the 7th would constitute NW.

i.e. the span between the 7th and the 10th would constitute SW.

etc…

The above is from a Geocentric model.

Hope some of this helps. May the Gurus continue to guide us.

Nitin.

Dear Kanupriya

ji,

Sadar abhivadan. I know abt

reckoning dir's from planets. I am

curious to know abt relating NE NW SE

and SW to rashis.

Thanks for your

sincere reply.

Let me re-phrase my

query :

"How to relate bhavas with

directions in horizontal plane with

reference to observer on earth's

surface?"

Bhavas in vertical space

and planetary directions excluded

plz.

Dear Nitin ji,

Sasneh

abhivadan. Thanks for prompt reply,

but this just does not fit in properly. In

fact I used to think just that before I

learnt bhavas in space.

The non-

angle bhavas do not fit

properly.

Dear Nitin,

Namaskar

And have

you ever seen this list used ever? Since the Lagna is east, the Shastras

actually indicate that the Natural 1st house – Aries is the

east, and so are its trines. Shastras on Prasna have given specific directions

for each of the signs, but i do not know of anyone applying the model that you

have mentioned regarding the Lagna and its bhavas indicating the directions.

Best

wishes,

Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevay

Dear Swee Chan ji,

Namaste.

Thanks for your valuable time and reply. However this is not what I

wanted. Visti ji directed me to Prasna Marg and I have got the reply.

Currently I am working on the theory for which I required these

details.

Thanks once again,

regards,

Om Shri Krishnarpanamastu.
