Conditional Dasas

Dear list members, Namaskar,

I've got a quick question regarding conditional dasas. When

Maharishi Parasara says that certain dasas are "appropriate" in

certain cases, does he mean they are preferable, or that they will be

equally useful to the general dasas?

For example, we can use Shastihayani dasa when the Sun is placed in

lagna. So should we use it in preference to Vimsottari? Or consider

both?

On another point, is Dwisaptati-sama dasa applicable if Lagnesh is in

Lagna? Or is it only if lagnesh is in 7th or 7th is in Lagna?

Parasara seems to say that Lagnesh should be in Lagna or 7th - but

Jagannath hora has different ideas, hence the question.
