I think the first one is part of the Guru Vandana for the

Vaishnava Parampara of Jagannath. The second one seems more popular.

The meaning doesn't change drastically in either case (Eva - verily, truly,

indeed; sAkshAt - visibly), but I was just wondering whether both are

acceptable, or whether they have different?

Finally, if one doesn't have a Guru, then is "Om Krsna Guru"

the appropriate mantra that can be used instead of a Guru mantra?
