You are right about the kendra, panaphara and apoklima from AK. Planets here show who or what is having that particular type of relation. The dharma devata is seen from the NINTH from karakamsa, whilst the ishta devata is seen from the TWELFTH from karakamsa. The navamsa of the Bhratrkaraka shows the Guru devata and the sixth from the navamsa of Amatyakaraka shows the Palana Devata. The sambandha of the particular devata with us will indicate how easily we can understand the lessons of the particular devata. The harder it is, the more punishment can come before the lessons are learnt. Usually we can say that malefics acting as the devatas will give strife, after which the native becomes spiritual. Guru Ji I have read that Panphara (2,5,8,11) and Apoklima (3,6,9,12) positions from Atma Karka are indifferent and inmical to the Atma Karka respectively. I have also read that the Ishta Devta is seen from the 9th from Karakamsa in Navamsa. If 9th position is inmical position, how is Ishta Devta supposed to help us?? I hope I am framing my question correctly. Do these positions have a different meaning in Navamsa? Regards Dev Kumar
