Guest guest
Dear Kishmore and Uttara, You have both put forward very interesting queries. Both of which I'd love to answer straight away...itching to! However, never ceasing to be amazed at the lack of response from the many silent members of this group, I wonder (perhaps) if I refrain from answering each and every query it might encourage others to contribute? So, I'll take a back seat for awhile and give others a chance to offer their insights :-)) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "kishore mohan" <kishore_future <jyotish-vidya> Wednesday, May 03, 2006 1:11 AM Commanding respect Dear friends, Often we notice that some people instataneously command the faith and respect of others, no matter they have no knowledge and good looks and power. Sometimes, even the most powerful looking person, with the status and knowledge may fail to command the respect of others. While in it self, it is interesting to see what transits and nakshtras and tithis make this happen, it will be more interesting to see when this is a common phenomenon for some- ie get respect wherever they go, no matter what is their status and what they talk or get ignored or even insulted, irrepsective of their capabilities. I request the learned members in the group to please discuss the following: 1. which Signs, planets and Bhavas point out to the commanding respect? 2. What the combinations which may spell out respect or insults? 3. Is there a connection to this aspect with the Stars?(Say SAidhan tara may give insults etc) 4. The yearly panchang discuss apmaan and rajpoojy for various rasis. Can we correlate this with the above phenomenon It will be nice if the members can post case studies. regards, Kishore patnaik _____________________________ - "Uttara" <muttaraphalguni <jyotish-vidya> Tuesday, May 02, 2006 11:58 PM Rectification of Chart To All Learned Members, I have a question/s regarding chart ratification. I know that the subject has been discussed in the past but, might I ask that we go over it one more time in detail. 1. How does one begin to rectify (or find a birth time) from a chart that does not have one? 2. How does one begin to rectify a chart's birth time using the vimshottari dasa? For example: I have always taken the vimshottari dasa results for the birth time given and then proceeded with the long and laborious task of taking many life events and compare it to the vimshottari. Adjusting the vimshottari date for that event. It becomes complicated because in essence one has to backtrack from today's events to get back to the correct birth time and its event. The vimshottari can be completely off. Which can leave one completely stumped as to where to begin constructing a proper vimshotarri Then too, if there is no birth time then how does one begin with a vimshottari dasa? Does one then take the moon's placement in the Rasi and based on its degree and Nakshatra hand divide the calculations to come up with a beginning for the vimshottari based on the moon? Too, if there is a questionable birth time, is it better to again take the position of the moon in the rasi, its degree and nakshatra and hand divide to come up with a vimshottari. I am asking about the moon to establish a vimshottari but I am also talking about knowing the moon for the day of birth in it's 24 hour as stable for the day in that Rasi. However, If say the birth time moves to another day before or after the assumed birth day then the moon will either be stable for that rasi or it will change. The vimshottari can then change completely. As it can, depending on how much the moon moves in its degrees, pada and nakshatra in the Rasi during its stay in the Rasi Is there another way to rectify a chart? Are there any good books that go into detail on how to accurately calculate to establish an accurate vimshotarri (with no or questionable birth time) or rectify a vimshotarri for accurate birth time and date? As Always, Uttara

Guest guest
Dear friend, Jupiter placed in 10th house, a combination which comes to my mind, an important consideration in a chart immediately, an answer for your question. So far as the question of transit is concerned, speak less or act slowly and carefully when Moon is in 8th house from your natal Moon to avoid facing insults. Regards, C.S. Guest guest
Dear Group, I feel there are sub categories in commanding respect and different planets are responsible for these different sub categories. For example commanding respect in terms of career related to teaching can be based on Jupiter/Mercury. Commanding respect as an elder in a family ( may be more so in an Indian perspective ) may be based on the strength of the 11th house. Also such lords in nakshatras like Jestha will help. Guest guest
Dear Ravindramani and All, Yes, I concur (in-so-much that 10th house must support recognition). This brings to mind the chart of a renowned Astrologer who has gained great recognition/respect for his service to Jyotish. In his chart 3rd/6th lord Jupiter is exalted in 10th house, indicating that his efforts(3rd) and work/service(6th) are recognised...bringing him great renown. Without doubt this native gained recognition/respect through his own efforts and the service he's rendered. Ascendant also has a big say in one's ability to be recognised. In the said chart lagna lord and 10th are closely conjunct in lagna. Guest guest
Dear Group The tenth house deals with Prosperity growth (Significator: Jupiter) Karma including all works & actions (Sign: Saturn) Professions & carrier (sign: Mercury) Fame (Sign: Sun) It represents the Mid Heaven and plays a vital role in the chart, second in importance to ascendant. All planets in the tenth house generally give very good results. Even rahu gives pilgrimiges in 10th house. House whose Lords are in the 10th house gain considerable strength and activities ruled by them succeed considerably.
