An interesting chart with birth during solar eclipse. Conventional

wisdom: Lagna Lord combust and conjunct with Rahu; 5th Lord Mars in

debility; 9th Lord Sun exalted but eclipsed.

Date of birth; May 8, 1929, TOB 2330 hours; Albany, New York State.73

W 45,42 N 39; 5 hours west of GMT.

A different life.

How do we read this.

Eclipses are very regular occurences and not much research has gone

into their influence on human lives.

 

In Mahurat eclipses are generally avoidable. It is a time for prayers

and chanting of mantras.

 

The solar eclipse occurs on Amavasya day and the lunar eclipse occurs

on full moon day.

 

The data that you have provided is of birth occuring on Amavasya day.

 

It is a night time birth when the solar eclipse was not visible, in

the location of birth. Moreover notice the degrees of Rahu at the time.

 

Lord Chaitanya's birth was on Lunar eclipse day. The Moon was full.

And he was born amidst the chanting of mantras.

The eclipse occured in his 11th house.

 

I need to study the chart in more detail before I can comment on it.

And I am sure other group members too would like to take it up for

study.

Just a point : the eclipse of 1929 occured on 9 May , at 6-10 in the

morning.

 

That is why the Rahu degrees were not matching up.

The eclipse was at 0110 hrs on 9 May as per time in Albany, Newyork

State, it began at 2330 hours on May 8.

per his association. Here we see Rahu, in nakshatra of exalted 9th

lord Sun, enjoying shubha kartari yoga (hemmed-in by 9th lord and

lagna lord Jupiter). We know, and have spoken of this many times,

that Jupiter (with strength) has the power to subdue Rahu. In this

chart, Jupiter, also in nakshatra of exalted 9th lord, is tightly

conjunct Rahu (less than 1°) in sign of great friend.

True. But the exalted ninth Lord is eclipsed. The

lagna Lord is combust too. Therefore, arent both

Jupiter and Sun likely to lose some vitality.

This chart belongs to the famous Jane Roberts of the

Seth material.

The chart should be studied in the conventional way and you will

have your answers. For after all it is a matter of degrees and

conjunctions.

What do you feel about it?

Correct me if I am wrong.

Planets in the mouth of rahu will have the affliction accordingly.

Perhaps the native's life can show that?

Interestingly both Venus and Mercury surround the fifth house and

are vargottama.

The parivartan between fifth and eighth Lord as Wendy points out is

another link to the eighth.

Should be a rare eclipse when Jupiter, Sun are also nearly

conjunct.

Yes, Pope John Paul II was born during a solar eclipse. Here are his

birth details:

May 18 1920 (13:00)

Wadowice, Poland

Lagna: 15°56'03"

 

His inauguration (as Pope) took place on Oct 21 1978 during dasa of

SA-KE-MA (depending on accuracy of T.O.B.). An interesting feature of

his horoscope is the exaltation of Jupiter in 12th house - as 4th

from 9th it shows the home of religion...in this instance, of course,

the Vatican (home of the Catholic religion). Once elected Pope, this

became his permanent residence and, not surprising, Jupiter was

transiting 12th at this time whilst transiting VE, MA and KE all

occupied nakshatra of Jupiter.
