Guest guest
To All, This past Friday evening (Mar 10th) my mother had a 6-hour emergency surgery for the very aggressive and grossly enlarged tumor growing in her torso from her ovaries. The original plan, as I wrote last week, was to try to delay the surgery because of thinning blood and heart disease. However, the soccer ball size tumor had advanced to the size of three soccer balls by last Friday and was curtailing her breathing and ability to stand up including increase pain. Last week, when emails for her best welfare were coming in from all over the world, my mother couldn't believe that so many would take her into their hearts and collectively pray for her when none knew her. Tonight, Sunday, I humbly ask for the continual prayers. My mother ( Mrs. Quinn) is in intensive care and the prognosis is poor. The doctors were able to save her life last Friday evening, but there are complications with her fragile condition. However, even though she is in intensive care where nothing really is allowed other than the medical needs of the patient; I have had the permission from her doctors to set up a tripod of well wishes from around the world to be at her beside for good measure. Tonight, my mother is conscious enough to recognize the prayers and well wishes and I do believe they are helping her know that she is not a lone and well love the world over for her well-being. I would be ever so grateful for your continual thoughts and prayers and well wishes for my mother's ease and recovery. The surgery proved to find that the tumor had invaded every organ in her body and the surgery entailed scraping the cystic tentacles from each organ from her upper heart aorta down to her rectum. The good news is the surgery was performed before any bowel obstruction or aorta restriction had the chance to overtake her body and welfare. I remain as always appreciative and humble for your continual prayers and well wishes. I know that it will mean a great deal to my mother. Whatever, outcome the Lord has for her. Uttara p.s. the name of the tumor which has not been classified as cancerous until the pathology report comes in, is called: Mucinous Cystadenoma. My mother will be eighty years old in June and this is her three possible cancer since 1994. The other two were Breast cancer and Basal cancer of the upper spine

Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Thank you so much for your interest, your intent and prayers and for asking for details. These are the following that I know to the best of my knowledge: Mother was a 22lb baby at age 4 months. It is believed that her mother's breast milk was very rich and indulging. Mother was very close to her father growing up. relatives often wondered if the relationship bordered on incestuous Mother started primary school at the age of five. I am not quite sure why. Mother, as always identified herself with the "little girl without shoes" fable where a very young girl is extraordinarily poor, underclothed for the weather and without shoes. Mother wore handed me downs or makeshift clothing up until she married at 22 yrs old. Her husband changed her life and destiny that she thought was in store for her. She is a college graduate in Chemistry but her love is in library science and mysteries. My mother graduated from college in 1947 or 1948. She was always the youngest in her group and always cared for by others who were older or looking out for her. She married at 22yrs 8months in February the 22nd of 1949. She met my father at a friends wedding 8 months prior. Mother was well rounded and attended at a lot of social gatherings and in her time dated at lot of young men. My father won out, although, above a few others that she was seriously contemplating. Summer of 1949 she spent the summer in Acapulco, Mexico with my father on his internship. He graduated from Un in 1950 After re-entering his final years of college after the second world war. August 27, 1950, at the age of 24 yrs and 2 months my mother and father (28yrs and 1 month) lost their first child a few hours after birth. It was devastating and changed both their lives forever. Mother always had problems with regular ovulation. However, with an active sexual marriage union and being very Roman Catholic went on to have 6 more children between 1951 and 1959. June 18th 1960, a few days before her mothers 72nd birthday, her mother died of an appendicitis burst after Spring of 1958 suffering from a paralytical stroke Mother had a near fatal staph infection from a hysterectomy in August 1960. A younger sister was fostered in 1964 and eventually through massive court proceedings adopted in April of 1966. Her birthday is March 6, 1961. Unfortunately, Anne Marie's life was gravely disrupted at age two when her mother abandoned her and her two brothers and sister. Anne Marie was fostered in 5 different foster homes before she came to us and was eventually relinquished by her father. Anne Marie has proven to be a complex child, severely traumatized, neglected and abused in her developing years of self identity and security before she settled with us. Through the years her very broken soul has been a living nightmare for my mother - who, in all reality, is the only mother she has ever known in remembering.. It has been a great hardship on my mother. January 1980, she suffered a very complicated shoulder fracture August 1981 she began a 6 yr working career as an executive assistant. for two yrs prior she worked as a Secretary in the administrative offices of the local HS. township Somewhere in the late 1980's my mother's heart was intentionally stopped by medical personnel for Atrial Fib to try and regulate the rhythm. 2+times 1990 seem to be the worse My father died rather unexpectedly and severely after a traumatic bout of Leukemia December 10, 1991. the death was around 6:30pm in Chicago, Ill, USA.. Although, my mother did her best to accept her lose, she was never the same again. End of October 1994 to the day of my father's diagnosis (three years previous), my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. June 13, 1994 my mother ran a local stop light and was broadsided on the drivers side. The car was totaled but my mother was uninjured physically, although, the emotional fallout effective the rest of her summer.. Spring/Summer of 1995, mother had minor surgery to eradicate a deep Basil cancer from her upper spine March 3, 2006, she was diagnosed as having a ovarian tumor, March 7th it was confirmed that the growth was the size of a soccer ball. March 10th she had emergency surgery for a growth that was aggressively growing and out of control - where the tumor was the size of three soccer balls and encroaching on her breathing and ability to stand. Wendy and All, I hope the information that I have related is helpful. As Always, Uttara :-) Wendy Vasicek <jyotish wrote: Dear Uttara, No doubt your mother is wrapped in loving thoughts - God's will be done! Guest guest
Dear Neena, Thank yo so much for your prayers and well wishes. To answer your question about my mother birth data, I purposely have not uploaded her data because her birth time is of discrepancy. However, for years I have always leaned towards 15:20 Chicago, IL USA, June 15th 1926. Please do not take this time as a matter of fact. As we all know, astrology and its timing can be very destructive if not accurately reportedly. However, I did a little while ago, this early morning of march 14th, give Wendy and the forum a list of events that I could recall. It is the best to the closest confirmation of any time for her birth date. Thank you for your kinds words and thoughts. She still has a long way to go. When I left her this past evening around 10:30pm, she had entered four new complications since 8:30pm but was was taken care of and resting peacefully when I departed. The staff at the Un Hospital is excellent and I was confident when I left she was in good hands. Thanks so much again, Uttara p.s. I am continually collecting well wishes and prayers for my mother to give to her at bedside at the hospital. So, each and everyone's notes are important, and I feel make a difference. Each are such a comfort, I can not even articulate properly. neenako <neenako wrote: - Dear Uttara, Your mother has really gone through a lot and that is why I feel she is a very brave lady. I was trying to go through the data bank looking for her birth details, but could not find them. Maybe I missed the post where you may have given the same. If it is not too much of a bother would you like to repost the details? I have always felt that studying a seniors chart is a good learning experience as on ecan easily check out the astro principles. Guest guest
- Dear Uttara, I think your mother's t.o.b should be around 16.30 or later. this will give Scorpio lagna and it tallies very well with her losing her first child. When the lord of lagna especially Mars is in the 5th house it definitely indicates loss of first born. Also there are planets in the 8th house indicating her health problems. Malefics in the 8th are an indication of cancer. She is blessed with children is also clear from own house Moon in the 9th. Just notice the hysterectomy in Sun/ Mercury dasa. Transit Saturn and Jupiter were transiting the 2nd house from lagna directly aspecting the dasa and antardasa lords. BTW, I read about longevity in one of the books that 3 planets in 8th give long life. My take is that she is a Scorpio lagna native. Presently she is passing through the sadesati of Saturn. Maybe others too would like to comment and give their views. Guest guest
Dear Neena, //I think your mother's t.o.b should be around 16.30 or later. this will give Scorpio lagna and it tallies very well with her losing her first child. When the lord of lagna especially Mars is in the 5th house it definitely indicates loss of first born.// I'm not disputing this as I haven't started confirming any dates yet. However, as you say, Mars in 5th is an indication of loss of 1st child (often it indicates miscarriage or abortion). Similarly Mars conjunct or aspecting 5th lord can indicate the same. I have Mars in 5th and lost my first child. A friend of mine has 5th lord Saturn conjunct Mars in 8th and lost her first child similarly. In both instances Mars is a functional malefic. With Libra lagna (Uttara's Mother) F/M Mars aspects 5th lord Saturn. Saturn owning 5th is also an indicator for adoption. Venus (planet of fertility) aspecting 5th lord could possibly account for the number of children she had? The closeness with her father (might) be seen with Moon owning 10th. For Scorpio lagna, 10th lord Sun conjuncts 8th lord in 8th... I'm not for one moment discounting your assumption at all...just offering what I see at first glance. Hopefully I/We can start tying in some events tomorrow and come to a fairly close time of birth. For me now though, it's past my bedtime and I must say goodnight... Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "neenako" <neenako <jyotish-vidya> Tuesday, March 14, 2006 10:18 PM Re: My Mother - continual prayers are asked for her welfare - Dear Uttara, I think your mother's t.o.b should be around 16.30 or later. this will give Scorpio lagna and it tallies very well with her losing her first child. Neena
Guest guest
Dear Wendy, For Libra lagna, Mars is aspecting exalted Saturn in lagna. It is possible that loss of first child is given by such a Saturn but if you see Saturn also has the aspect of Jupiter. And Jupiter is in the 5th house. A karaka in karaksthana is said to destroy the bhava. In this case it did not destroy the bhava only the first child. I don't think this is done by Jupiter in the 5th house. This is surely the prerogative of Mars in the 5th. Moreover, Saturn in lagna should give a leaner body but the native was a chubby baby. Scorpio lagna with lagna lord in the watery sign Pisces is quite likely made her a healthy , 22lb baby at 4 months. I do not know of her physique later in life. I am not too confident of this software I am using. It does play tricks at times. Could you please confirm whether you are getting her rashi as Cancer or Leo? .............. Will continue with this in a short while. Guest guest
Dear Neena, Hopefully I'll be able to tuck into this later today :-) PS: With PL2000 Libra lagna falls between 15:14 - 17:48 (approximately). As you can see the time of 16:20 would have to be changed by 1hr.28mns to get Scorpio lagna. Perhaps we should check with Uttara on this before going any further. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, That is really strange but with Jhora I am getting Scorpio at 16-40. And Leo rasi. My PL has to be reactivated eversince my comp crashed. I should perhaps try getting that. Just been a little lazy lately. I think we will wait for Uttara's opinion on this. Guest guest
Dear Neena, I'm not discounting the possibility that there could be a glitch in PL. But, following the basic rule that the duration of Ascendant is approximately 2hrs (give or take), 15:14? - 17:48? seems fair...
