Next Thursday (Mar 16th) and not before because of heart medication, my mother will undergo Cancer surgery for the ovary. Tonight, I learned that the size of the tumor, which is fast growing, is the size of a softball. What I have seen with a cursory glance is the transit of dasa lord Jupiter aspecting bhukti./PD lord Venus. Jupiter, as we know, governs physical development (tissue development etc). Tumours in general are attributed to Jupiter although, unless he's malefic in some way, these are usually little more than benign cysts and so forth which (almost) everyone gets from time to time and no cause for concern. In your mother's chart however, Jupiter, owning 8th/11th houses is a functional malefic...malefic to Ascendant. Your mother's bhukti/PD lord Venus (Ascendant lord) governs, as we know, the reproductive system (ovaries and so forth) - hence your mother has been diagnosed with ovarian tumour. Obviously this has been something that's escaped diagnosis for some time - understandable given that the preceding bhukti of Ketu, situated in 8th in sign of Jupiter, keeps things hidden. We all know that Ketu signifies that which is difficult to diagnose (or escapes detection altogether). Let me say a few things to bring into focus the current problem at hand My mother always had reproductive difficulties. However, after loosing her first child at age 24, who was a full term birth, (the baby died within 2 to 6 hrs of birth due to a collapsed lung that never inflated properly after birth. I am 11 months and 1 day younger than my older sister) my mother proceeded to have five more children. When my youngest biological sister was born I was 7 and one half yrs older. That was 1959. In August of 1960 my mother had a hysterectomy. Her uterus was removed but all other reproductive organs stayed in contact. Fast forward: 1994, to the day, that my father was diagnosed with Acute Myleocitic Leukemia , three yrs previous (he past away within 6 wks) my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had the invasive surgery but refuse any radiation or chemotherapy. She also after 2 months stopped the Tamoxifen medication because of the long term side effects. Her Breast cancer was considered Stage1 inductive. Wendy, I think you know what I mean with your background in Nursing. Anyway, All went well for 11 yrs. Then last year she had a deep basil cancer removed from her upper spine. It was feared that she had a recurrence of breast cancer that showed up in her spine but it was proven not to be the case. In the meantime, with scientific rhetoric, it has been known for several years that if one does not have a uterus, yearly pelvic exams and pap smears are not needed. Well, my mother said great, I don't need this anymore and I am not sexually active so no more GYN. exams. Her internist thought these last couple of years with her progressive bladder incontinence that it was aging or she needed a urethra splint. Gad, everyone, it all seems so personal but the message I am tying to highlight is, no one can afford not to sideline exams for proper health, Anyway, it was determine, I am not quite sure how, that my mother did not have a prolapse bladder. At least not sense she had her hysterectomy in 1960. So, my mother who has been progressively getting worse, And i mean like continuing flowing water, finally made an appointment with a specialist in this area and after a three month wait was able to see her last Friday. As it turned out, within an hour of her appointment she was at the hospital having a Cat Scan to confirm what the specialist thought - that she had a large growth pressing on the bladder and urethra. Ask me why her internist, her primary care physician, wasn't more on the ball before this - yikes. Mother didn't want anyone to know until she had all the doctors and specialists and oncologists reports and tests in, Wednesday. Accept for one brother who is executor of her estate and the two of them went through all her paperwork last Saturday. Because my mother has been on a drug for anti clotting (Coumadin) for her heart atrial fib, the doctors can't do surgery for another week due to the fact that they are worried she would bleed out on the surgical table. The up shot is the cancer is very aggressive and very fast growing. The doctors suspect that the tumor was of little size less than six weeks ago. Of course that is what they are telling her. But, one has to wonder. Wendy, and all, I did see in her chart that her current discomfort was in fact an aging problem along with her bladder discomfort and I had advised my mother in November that between mid Jan and Feb would be a cautious time for her - so, she needed to be extra careful with her health. I never guessed it would be ovarian cancer or something as aggressive as it is. The surgeons are already expecting that surgery will involve taking most of her colon too. Mother will be eighty in June, she looks like she is 70, I just don't understand why some have to go through so much pain and trauma before they physically let go to sail into an eternal bliss of spirit with God. Then again, I don't understand why so many have to suffer and loose their lives so young. But, I do know that death is a part of life. I guess the question now becomes how long will she suffer before expiring. Uttara I am off to bed for some much needed rest and sleep. Let me say a few things to bring into focus the current problem at hand My mother always had reproductive difficulties. However, after loosing her first child at age 24, who was a full term birth, (the baby died within 2 to 6 hrs of birth due to a collapsed lung that never inflated properly after birth. I am 11 months and 1 day younger than my older sister) my mother proceeded to have five more children. When my youngest biological sister was born I was 7 and one half yrs older. That was 1959. In August of 1960 my mother had a hysterectomy. Her uterus was removed but all other reproductive organs stayed in contact. Fast forward: 1994, to the day, that my father was diagnosed with Acute Myleocitic Leukemia , three yrs previous (he past away within 6 wks) my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had the invasive surgery but refuse any radiation or chemotherapy. She also after 2 months stopped the Tamoxifen medication because of the long term side effects. Her Breast cancer was considered Stage1 inductive. Wendy, I think you know what I mean with your background in Nursing. Anyway, All went well for 11 yrs. Then last year she had a deep basil cancer removed from her upper spine. It was feared that she had a recurrence of breast cancer that showed up in her spine but it was proven not to be the case. In the meantime, with scientific rhetoric, it has been known for several years that if one does not have a uterus, yearly pelvic exams and pap smears are not needed. Well, my mother said great, I don't need this anymore and I am not sexually active so no more GYN. exams. Her internist thought these last couple of years with her progressive bladder incontinence that it was aging or she needed a urethra splint. Gad, everyone, it all seems so personal but the message I am tying to highlight is, no one can afford not to sideline exams for proper health, Anyway, it was determine, I am not quite sure how, that my mother did not have a prolapse bladder. At least not sense she had her hysterectomy in 1960. So, my mother who has been progressively getting worse, And i mean like continuing flowing water, finally made an appointment with a specialist in this area and after a three month wait was able to see her last Friday. As it turned out, within an hour of her appointment she was at the hospital having a Cat Scan to confirm what the specialist thought - that she had a large growth pressing on the bladder and urethra. Ask me why her internist, her primary care physician, wasn't more on the ball before this - yikes. Mother didn't want anyone to know until she had all the doctors and specialists and oncologists reports and tests in, Wednesday. Accept for one brother who is executor of her estate and the two of them went through all her paperwork last Saturday. Because my mother has been on a drug for anti clotting (Coumadin) for her heart atrial fib, the doctors can't do surgery for another week due to the fact that they are worried she would bleed out on the surgical table. The up shot is the cancer is very aggressive and very fast growing. The doctors suspect that the tumor was of little size less than six weeks ago. Of course that is what they are telling her. But, one has to wonder. Wendy, and all, I did see in her chart that her current discomfort was in fact an aging problem along with her bladder discomfort and I had advised my mother in November that between mid Jan and Feb would be a cautious time for her - so, she needed to be extra careful with her health. I never guessed it would be ovarian cancer or something as aggressive as it is. The surgeons are already expecting that surgery will involve taking most of her colon too. Mother will be eighty in June, she looks like she is 70, I just don't understand why some have to go through so much pain and trauma before they physically let go to sail into an eternal bliss of spirit with God. Then again, I don't understand why so many have to suffer and loose their lives so young. But, I do know that death is a part of life. I guess the question now becomes how long will she suffer before expiring. Uttara I am off to bed for some much needed rest and sleep. And also for the title of this book, I've not heard of it and will track one down to have this keen info close at hand. I'll wait to hear confirmation from Uttara regarding her mother's chart DST. I have an interesting twist here. After sending my post to Uttara via list I wanted to see a horary chart for this. I cast an animated transit chart in PL. This could also serve of course as a horary chart. The chart is quite remarkable considering this news and in combination with the birth chart I cast for her mother (without the DST 1 hour). I decided to keep a copy of this exact chart as a horary and entered the same data as an 'Event' chart in her mother's file - and hmmm.. got a different chart. This is due to my computer giving me a one hour DST on the animated transit chart, and then no DST (correctly) in the event chart. Seeing this, I then went to other people's charts and tried the animated transit charts and each time correctly got the no DST. Made a second separate chart for her mother and again in animated transit got the correct no DST. The magic of Jyotish. do you find you sometimes have this happen as well? Get the 'wrong', quote unquote, chart for some reason when casting a horary or sometimes even a wrong birthtime but the chart is so accurate. In the case of horary in particular when we are so sincerely asking about the person, I find this can happen and is quite magical. More reason Jyotish does indeed possess me! And gratefully so. I'm really not sure how you've cast the charts you refer to?? There's always the possibility that Uttara has already rectified her mother's birth time to reflect the DST? In which case that time will give an incorrect lagna when calculated by our software. I hope this is not the case as it confuses things dreadfully... I have an interesting twist here. After sending my post to Uttara via list I wanted to see a horary chart for this. I cast an animated transit chart in PL. This could also serve of course as a horary chart. The chart is quite remarkable considering this news and in combination with the birth chart I cast for her mother (without the DST 1 hour). I decided to keep a copy of this exact chart as a horary and entered the same data as an 'Event' chart in her mother's file - and hmmm.. got a different chart. This is due to my computer giving me a one hour DST on the animated transit chart, and then no DST (correctly) in the event chart. Seeing this, I then went to other people's charts and tried the animated transit charts and each time correctly got the no DST. Made a second separate chart for her mother and again in animated transit got the correct no DST. The magic of Jyotish. do you find you sometimes have this happen as well? Get the 'wrong', quote unquote, chart for some reason when casting a horary or sometimes even a wrong birthtime but the chart is so accurate. In the case of horary in particular when we are so sincerely asking about the person, I find this can happen and is quite magical. More reason Jyotish does indeed possess me! And gratefully so. My post is detailed and a bit confusing. Thank you for checking Wendy. Yes, you're of course correct and PL gives this correctly: no DST at this time. That's my point on the interesting twist, that in this one chart, the first animated transit chart I cast and was using as a horary, PL did mistakenly give 1 hour DST. On no others did PL do this when I tried to find the reason for this error. I discovered instead, that it was just a 'quirk' on that one chart. Even when I repeated the way this happened exactly by giving her mother a second birth chart in my file, and then casting the current animated transit chart, PL worked correctly and did not again give me the incorrect 1 hour DST. Yes, very confusing when we can't just cast a chart with the birth data if someone has done this in rectifying a chart. Uttara did state that her mother has no DST in her original post, which is why I cast her birth chart that way. I'm really not sure how you've cast the charts you refer to?? There's always the possibility that Uttara has already rectified her mother's birth time to reflect the DST? In which case that time will give an incorrect lagna when calculated by our software. I hope this is not the case as it confuses things dreadfully... If I use 16:20, I get a Moon of 8* Leo with Magha/Ke If I use the Prasna chart I get a Moon of 8* Gemini with Ardra/Ra As one can imagine, I have been in frequent contact with my mother today and medical advice and imminent surgery next Thursday or a very real possibility at any one given time if her symptoms become worse. The tumor that mother says was not there 10 days ago is now as I reported earlier of a soccer ball size and it goes from under her rib cage across her whole abdomen. Today the swelling in her abdomen is even bigger and the doctors are concerned that the aggressive and fast growing tumor is grossly out of control. Mother looks like she is four months pregnant, going on five. While talking with my mother, I asked her again about her birth time. She believes that she was born in the afternoon vs. the morning hour of 4:20. If she can find her birth certificate, it will help to establish the hour but it won't confirm whether it is am or pm. Further, she told me today that she thought my father was born in the afternoon. Which begs one to reconsider my father's Twin sister whose birth certificate says 2:59. And my father's, who is believed to be 3:24. This of course would support my research and findings that birth certificates before 1967 were not legally obligated to write birth times in 24 hour or use am or pm after the time. The only thing that is clear, is that all times in Chicago before 1967 were recorded on birth certificates in Standard Time. As confusing as it sounds, Patrice and all, I hope the information helps. I certainly would like to get a clearer take on it too. Uttara p.s. If it helps at all, my relationship with my mother has always been intense. In the last few years very confrontational and dividing. It has only been in the last year that we have tried to establish some reasonable exchange. Mother has a very narcissistic, passive aggressive personality which can be very vindictive when personally wounded with her sensitivity. I also feel she has been depressed for years. With a lot of different traumas and expectations. I on the other hand am very sensitive, stubborn, and tenacious. I am also the baby who replaced her love child who died at birth.
