There can be no doubt that the intent behind your words (and your ID) have been deliberately malicious (poorly disguised hatred), and there can be no doubt that the severe affliction in your 4th house of emotional heart/mind is the root cause... Much can be learned from your horoscope Fraser, so, for the benefit of learning, I will succumb to your wishes and give a reading... Responding particularly to your following demand, perhaps we may all understand a little better the difference between exalted Ketu and weak/afflicted Ketu (bhava sandhi). //What do YOU say 'constitutes' exaltation. Teach me, please!// In your chart, not only is Ketu in bhava sandhi, it is at the (malefic) juction point between Pisces and Aries. A planet in Gandanta, the junction between a fire sign and water sign, i.e. Pisces-Aries, Cancer-Leo, and Scorpio-Sagittarius is inauspicious and cannot benefit the house it occupies. We will see how this relates to your previous statement... ///Now, if you were to look at my chart and check out ketu and it's dispositor, you would have to agree that I would have better significations of Ketu than Deepak./// We will also see, in light of the fact that 9th house governs such things as Vedas, higher learning etc., how this Ketu initiates such disdain towards those involved in teaching the vedic sciences i.e. Ayurveda (Deepak), Vedic astrology (myself)... And the significance of 9th lord Mars dispositorship of afflicted MO/SA. PS: For those who might have missed it before, Fraser's details are; Aug 23 1958 (07.43.55) Bombay, India Lagna: Leo 24°34'51' Time permitting I will post your reading within the next day or two, Fraser. I'm also busy at the moment trying to get Vol 2 of BPHS up on JyotishVidya.website...so it really depends on how well I can manage my time. I will first address your hysterics and then impart knowledge for whoever's benefit. //How can you possibly know the level of divinity(?) as it's manifested in this chart?// I have seen Deepak on TV on numerous occasions, and heard the man talk. Seen the man's condescending, supercilious, patronising attitude to the rest of the panel. His almost insulting ways and tone to a catholic priest. His attitude during the war, when he spoke of love conquering all. He spoke with that 'holier than thou' attitude. I can go on about other and much 'authenticated' stuff, but I do not want this to be on this forum, and it does not matter what you think. //It is possible to be non-attached to success...or are you one who believes it's only possible to be non-attached to poverty.// If you actually believe, that, that is what I suggested, then I have nothing to say on that point at all. If you knew my background or if you knew basic astrology, you would know better, having access to my birth chart. But, never mind, I understand...... //Yes, this would amaze me, Fraser! Although I do not consider myself a better(?) to anyone, I do find your new ID walkingmisswendy) totally disrespectful...and that was exactly what you intended!// The name I chose, was malicious. I take full reponsibility to having an intent that was far from 'pure'. I do see that it was in bad taste, to say the least. It was a nasty temptation that I gave in to. It was wrong. It is despicable. It carried with it, a twisted sense of humour. It was the work of the lesser man in me. If you have read so far and are waiting for that word, here it is: SORRY !!. Now Wendy, what did we learn here? GRACE. Yes, Grace. I have the backbone to own up and admit, and receive, that rap on the wrist. If only, you would take a lesson from me and stop getting hyper at every turn. ALSO, -this I never thought, I would be forced to bring up, but I find it compelling now. In the last few days I have received more than 9 (yes more than 9 -its not a typo)private emails, from 'regulars' on this forum. If they are reading this, they know who they are. The contents of those emails is negative, and its not directed towards me. The last time I asked you if you wanted me to leave and you blocked me. I don't understand. Ask me to leave openly on the forum and I will leave. It's simple. No matter what you say and think, I do not have anything against you. I do not send out malicious private emails. Thats not me. I prefer to be outspoken and honest. Even after reading my birth chart, you don't know me at all. I will be copy-pasting this post to all those who have mailed me privately, lest you delete it before the world sets eyes on it. Guest guest
Dear All, Namaste Wendy, I am looking forward to your continued interpretation of this chart. I looked at this chart and the main thing that I was drawn to was the position of Gulika. It this chart it afflicts the both the lagna and lagnesh Sun (in fact it has the same degree as lagnesh Sun!). >From BPHS "If Gulika is in the ascendant, the native will be afflicted by diseases, be lustful, sinful, crafty, wicked, and very miserable." The very close association of Gulika with Sun perhaps brings out the "cruel" nature of the Sun. Here it is further afflicting a combust, retrograde Mercury (natural karaka for expression and is lord of 2nd house of expression). To me this is as good as any indication of the seemingly "crafty" and "wicked" aspect of the Fraser's nature & expression. However, lagnesh Sun is quite strong sitting in the lagna so I would think that is a strong mitigating factor as far as health and overall nature is concerned. Am I correct in saying that Magha is the royal nakshatra? Two royal planets, Mercury (prince) & Sun (king) w/ Gulika are placed here. This may indicate a natural feeling/tendency of superiority, domination and leadership. In is interesing to note King Sun's role of dispositer of Prince Mercury while at the same time King Sun is dominating/combusting the ability of the Prince Mercury to express itself. The whole drama is playing out front and center in the lagna. It carries the theme of a dominating father over the son, inhibiting the son's expression, inhibition of expression of the prince-like characteristics of Mercury. 2nd house is unaspected & 2nd lord Mercury is afflicted by Gulika & is combust. This may also indicate Artha/support from close friends and family or family-like relations is lacking. I love to see yoga karaka Mars in his own house, 9th house of higher learning, spiritual studies. Mars & Jupiter are in mutual aspect, forming a raja yoga (4th & 5th lords). Certainly some good results from 9th are indicated. Though, certainly the qualities of Mars are seen in the approach -- force of character, impatience, sense of competion, frankness, ect. I am looking forward to the further discussion of the Ketu as I don't have any idea on how to read Ketu & Rahu. But certainly the indications of Mars in the 9th along with the indications in the lagna (overall nature) can be seen in the Fraser's approach here in this forum. I have to say that my opinion is that despite his tendency to "crafty & cruel" expression, I think he has some valuable insights to share and in general, I think he has a sharp intellect -- possibly indicated by the raja yoga between 4th lord & 5th lords, mercury in ascendant, Mercury's dispositor is very strong & is in an auspicious house, Moon's dispositer is strong and is in an auspicious house. So, overall, I think this is the chart of one who is very sharp & fiery and has a great capacity for higher learning - specially in the spiritual fields. However, the interactions & overall nature are tinged by the tendency/habit to feel superior, use "cruelcraftywicked" means, especially in expression. This limits the ability to garner support in terms of close friends. And as Wendy already pointed out, there is unhappiness indicated (condition of Moon & 4th house). Well, that is what I wanted to express about this chart and I welcome everyone's corrections/comments/ and so forth - especially Fraser's. I certainly reserve the right to be completely wrong about everything I have I said in this basic interpretation! I hope Fraser hangs around here for awhile. I know that essentially he is someone I could respect a great deal and could learn a from. I will be praying that some things get worked out because 1) Wendy certainly does not deserve anything but our utmost respect and gratitude; and it saddens me to see some pettiness and "cruel" behavior towards her. 2) I am sure Fraser could contribute greatly to this forum so I would not like to see him leave. We're all brothers & sisters, having a common Creator, & countless saints and sages have been attempting to teach us to act like it for quite awhile... Guest guest
Dear Sean and All, Just taking a little 'time out' from updating website (vol 2 BPHS). It's taking forever and I need a bit of a respite from it. I'll give the reading of Fraser's chart (only) after I've finished with the update as his chart (like everyone's) deserves my full attention. But just a brief comment, if I may, on what you and Jiger have written... You Wrote: //I looked at this chart and the main thing that I was drawn to was the position of Gulika. It this chart it afflicts the both the lagna and lagnesh Sun (in fact it has the same degree as lagnesh Sun!).// According to my software (PL2000), Gulika is very close to Asc degree, but almost 20° away from Sun. I do know there is some discrepancy between the computer programs, but it shouldn't be that big a discrepancy? //From BPHS "If Gulika is in the ascendant, the native will be afflicted by diseases, be lustful, sinful, crafty, wicked, and very miserable." The very close association of Gulika with Sun perhaps brings out the "cruel" nature of the Sun.// Of course everyone has Gulika somewhere in their chart, and, to the best of my understanding he harms (specifically) the person governed by the house he occupies and the person governed by the planet he conjoins i.e. in 5th he can harm children, in 9th grandchildren, in 1st the native himself, in 12th father's sibling, in 6th mother's sibling, in 3rd one's own sibling...and so forth. As we know, he shows his results, for better or worse, during the period of his dispositor. If his dispositor is unafflicted the negative effects of Gulika will be minimised. In Fraser's chart of course Gulika is conjunct his dispositor (Sun) in lagna, so his effects will be strongly felt. As always, consideration of the natural karaka is also important, and of course, Sun is the natural karaka for lagna; so I see the affliction being quite strong. From personal experience (Gulika conjunct 9th lord in 9th) I understand how Gulika can harm the relationship with grandchildren. //The very close association of Gulika with Sun perhaps brings out the "cruel" nature of the Sun.// Moolatrikona Sun in lagna, conjunct F/M Mercury and Gulika, indicates some difficulties related to ego, pride etc., whilst the aspect of F/M Saturn can certainly give rise to cruelty when the ego is bruised...no doubt! In spite of this, Sun in nakshatra of Ketu, gives a desire for unattachment, spiritual awakening, hidden knowledge (jyotish is hidden knowledge) and so forth. Ketu, conjunct 9th lord in 9th, and aspected by 5th lord Jupiter, will certainly draw him to higher learning, religion, philosophy, jyotish etc (pursuit of spiritual knowledge). However, there are obstructions in his path that can be difficult to overcome. 1) Ketu is in gandanta (if this applies to Ketu?)...none-the-less, in bhava sandhi Ketu cannot benefit this house. In neutral sign his strength (to do good) is minimised, and, instead of benefiting from Ketu's natural intuition, Fraser is likely to encounter hindrances in his studies...more than likely he will jump from one system to another in his search for understanding. Fraser asked me to teach him what constitutes exaltation...the simple answer to that is; an exalted planet has maximum strength to do good...as the strength diminishes so the beneficial nature of the planet diminishes. Exalted, Ketu gives strong intuition, spiritual tendencies, asceticism, non-attachment, knowledge, wisdom and discrimination. When afflicted he can bring hindrances, uncertainty, handicaps, intrigues, separation, suspicion and corruption. They say that MokshaKaraka Ketu shows both the path to enlightenment and the obstructions on the path... That Fraser is drawn to this, there is no doubt; That Fraser has many obstacles in his path, there is no doubt. 2) 9th lord Mars is dispositor of afflicted MO/SA...he carries this with him. 3) 9th lord's nakshatra lord (Venus) is inimicably placed in 12th whilst his dispositor (Moon) is afflicted in 4th. 4) Jupiter's aspect on 9th must be seen in light of his strength and association. We know that the most malefic side of Rahu and Ketu's nature can be mitigated (to a great extent) when conjunct Jupiter (or Venus). However, these great benefics must have sufficient strength to subdue the demonic tendencies of the nodes. I will have to leave it here for now unfortunately, as time is moving on and I have much else to do... I will just leave you all with this thought. The affliction in 4th house of emotional heart/mind. It needs to be considered (compassionately) in light of the level of unhappiness/loneliness inherent in this affliction. A happy heart is never cruel or vindictive...think about this! Guest guest
Dear Sean, You Wrote: //I hope Fraser hangs around here for awhile. I know that essentially he is someone I could respect a great deal and could learn a from.// As we haven't had any response from Fraser, I checked to see if he's still with us - he is; but not receiving mails directly. I've also just looked at his chart again, and it wouldn't surprise me if he's looking into other teachings (systems) at this time due to the current Ketu PD. As I said earlier, weak Ketu in 9th indicates confusion, lack of clarity, or lack of discrimination in regards to 9th house affairs. He did say in his last post, under his original ID, that Parashara was rubbish and only SA worked (that mail didn't get through and that ID was banned from Jyotish-Vidya shortly after). Certainly I'd feel more comfortable discussing his chart if we had some response from him. No doubt he asked for a reading, but none-the-less I'm uncomfortable discussing his chart in his absence. Whilst on the topic of SA, I might comment (quickly) here that this system was devised by VK Choudhry in 1991. After some years of studying the classics he gave up trying to make sense of the apparent contradictions found in Parashara/Jaimini etc., and devised his own system. Certainly, due to the dominance of moolatrikona, his system (based on this) has had some success. But with so much extracted, the system does (in my opinion) fall down. Believing that teachers (Gurus?) should be scrutinized as thoroughly as their teachings, I give here the details of the founder of this system...chart is in public domain. Guest guest
Fraser-- O Sean! O Sean! PLEASE HELP THIS PERSON OUT !! -the blessed state of affairs... Regards, Fraser. This person has a name Fraser, please be polite enough to use it! Dear Uttara, 4th lord Mars aspects 5th lord Jupiter (and vice-versa)...hence the yoga between 4th/5th lords. However we cannot overlook the affliction of the Nodes and the affliction to 4th house...Mars carries this affliction. We see that (even now) Fraser cannot let go of his animosity. What would it have cost him to refer to you by name rather than 'This Person'? It would have cost him his pride, and, when we consider the combustion of 2nd lord Mercury (significator of speech and lord of 2nd house of speech) it's not difficult to understand the role 'pride' plays in his manner of speech. Before declaring any raj yogas we must first assess the houses involved. 1) 4th house afflicted by F/M Moon and Saturn. 2) Neutral 5th lord has little strength to overpower Rahu...both are in nakshatra of Mars who is himself afflicted by Ketu. 3) 4th/9th lord (as above) is afflicted by Ketu. Righteous conduct, Moral Values, Character, are seen from 4th house. Piety, Morality and Ethics are seen from 9th. Fraser's whole demeanor on this list verifies the affliction to these houses; as it also (clearly) shows the pridefull manner of his speech. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Forgive me, but I am stuck. I understand your delineation and explanation and can follow it thoroughly. However, I am not seeing the mutual 4th and 5th lord Aspect of Jupiter and Mars. Is it possible to explain further? What am I missing? In regards to Fraser, unfortunately, I find his recent post to be a voice of vindictive retaliation and continual evidence of his incapability to set straight his expressional errors and prideful disdain for others. The defensive and arrogant posture speaks loudly and deeply of his wounded ego. A whole part of him has never really been loved or accepted. It is very sad, really, because as Sean has said in an earlier post, there is some positive potential here if Fraser wants to learn and humble himself to his higher essence. To Fraser; get over yourself. I was asking a question on delineation and not addressing any one particular personal reflection on your person. And no Fraser, I do not feel sorry for you. My empathy level reflects a truly troubled person but does not accept irresponsibility for ones continual self centered abusive behavior towards others. Wendy and others, I would appreciate your further help and clarification on this area that I am having trouble comprehending. In the meantime, I have printed out your explanation Wendy and am pouring over the charts in study. Uttara p.s. Wendy, I am not interested in a continual sparing match with Fraser. Nor am I interested in reading his disdainful posts or commenting further on them. Guest guest
Wendy, Did you forget to mention that Saturn has afflicted my moon, which is anyway debilitated, giving me a muddled up and negative mind? Are you saving the best for last? The suspense is killing me. I think if we look into the 12th house natal position of Venus and sprinkle a few more Nakshatra lords in the mix, -there is no telling what we'll end up with. I wish I could make it easier for you! As I said in an earlier post: //I will just leave you all with this thought. The affliction in 4th house of emotional heart/mind. Guest guest
Fraser-- Unfortunately I couldn't approve your last post (filled with venom towards me). Nor can I allow you to remain a member of this group. The subject line here could not be more true...we certainly do learn a lot from our enemies. The most important thing I've learnt from you Fraser is never to show kindness to an individual that's filled with cruelty and hatred...it's like sprinkling holy water on the devil. You attacked my kindness by declaring that you were of the Brahmin class (a good family) and how dare I instruct you in spiritual matters. My only response to that Fraser is that some of the most depraved individuals come from the best families. Even if you were a direct descendant of Parashara himself my reading of your horoscope wouldn't change and, no doubt, your vicious response to my desire to help has proved me correct. I'm reminded (painfully) of the words of Christ, "Do not cast your pearls before swine lest they turn and rend you" A lesson well learnt from you Fraser (or whoever you are). Guest guest
My apologies to all for not letting this topic rest without one final comment. As Fraser has indicated his intention to write privately to members disputing my reading and has even challenged me privately to "take him on" publicly, I think it's necessary to refer to an earlier message where I noted his tendancy towards spiritual practices. Message # 2166 //Moolatrikona Sun in lagna, conjunct F/M Mercury and Gulika, indicates some difficulties related to ego, pride etc., whilst the aspect of F/M Saturn can certainly give rise to cruelty when the ego is bruised...no doubt! However, there are obstructions in his path that can be difficult to overcome.// In his last post (that did not reach the group), Fraser boasted of his Brahmin birth and his puja expertise...I have no doubt this is correct (as I refered to above). Catholic priests are also drawn to (are well-versed) in ritualistic worship, but not all are pure of heart... It seems that, no matter how many times I ban Fraser(?) from the list, he s with a new ID and, as I said, has even resorted to writing to me privately, challenging me to "take him on". Is this behaviour fitting for one who boasts of his Brahmin heritage? When I think of a Brahmin I think of the great Rishi's...unfortunately this sort of behaviour has diminished the great respect I had. I've even resorted to changing the group settings to 'new rs must be approved', to avoid any more 'walkingmisswendy' and recently 'wendyverywindy' ID's from surfacing on the group. However I have little doubt that he's here under another disguise...I can't ban everyone, and he knows it! I will concede that JU conjunct RA & aspected by 9th lord MA can be good for wealth and, no doubt, he took my offer to send him a free copy of Navagraha stotram as an insult to his pride. The great lesson to be learnt here is to pay full attention to the character of a person. If this is severely flawed, no raj yoga will overcome it. Showing compassion towards a cruel heart is (unfortunately) like waving a red flag to a bull...it infuriates them! We need to ask ourselves why Fraser never responded to anything with sound astrological argument - the answer should be obvious! PS: Fraser reminds me somewhat of Schrishapan who was slayed by Krishna. Pure-hearted Vijay, greatly loved by Krishna, was reborn as Schrichapan who hated Krishna and, after challenging Krishna to a duel, he was killed. Immediately his golden form bowed at Krishna's feet and said, "Thank You Krishna, One Life Finished (so much closer to Home)"...does anyone know the story? Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Appropriately You have cited:"Thank You Krishna, One Life Finished (so much closer to Home)"...does anyone know the story?" In Itihasas and puranas they always distinguished devatas as for Good,Kind and Compassionate and Asuras, otherwise though good and spirtual but get influneced to ego, ahankara(pride)and get suurrendered to bad environment.Infact they gain strength by pleasing Gods.but Almighty is said to grant them fulfilment of their desires which are ultimately used by these eveil minded rakshas against people and even against Gods. These anecdotes in mythology else where carry message success(vijayam ) of good over bad. So as they,Gods ultimately decide the annihilation of rakshas they get relieved.Story of Krishna, the human form of God is to safe guard good and preserve values is the story conveyed.it is most appropriate. krishnan Wendy Vasicek <jyotish wrote: My apologies to all for not letting this topic rest without one final comment. Guest guest
Dear Krishnan, The reason I mentioned the story (a beautiful story BTW) is because, even though Shrishaphal had no recollection of his previous existence as Vijay (beloved valet of Krishna), Krishna knew all along who he was; and when Krishna took aim with his chakra he looked at Shrishaphal with all the love in his heart because he knew he was Vijay. So too, in spite of the disguises (false ID's), I recognise Fraser immediately...there is an essence behind the words that cannot be disguised. This is why I said 'Fraser reminds me somewhat of Shrishaphal' :-) PS: I think his name was Shrishaphal (not Schrishapan). I'm not sure as I was told the story...didn't read it, so not sure of the spelling? Maybe someone can help me out with the correct name :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "vattem krishnan" <bursar_99 <jyotish-vidya> Thursday, January 26, 2006 9:41 AM Re: Re: Enemies can teach us much: I bow to them! Guest guest
Yeah! The version is absolutely true as for every human being a time will come when self becomes no existent. Then what realisation comes is beyond the present form and structure.we know in the words of Kriashna"every person is born to do some good and some bad.Every thing is accounted very meticulously.God says at that time enough is enough. You are so and so in what ever form yoou may be there before.Infact Shishpala is very closely related to Krishna apart from son of the King regards krishnan Wendy Vasicek <jyotish wrote: Dear Krishnan, The reason I mentioned the story (a beautiful story BTW) is because, even though Shrishaphal had no recollection of his previous existence as Vijay (beloved valet of Krishna), Krishna knew all along who he was; and when Krishna took aim with his chakra he looked at Shrishaphal with all the love in his heart because he knew he was Vijay.
