Guest guest
Dear Mr Krishnan, I was referring to the subdivision of one nakshatra into padas. For example, the Uttara Ashada is subdivided into 4 padas: Jupiter, Saturn, Saturn and Jupiter. I believe they can also be called Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces and I think that depending on exactly where the ascendant falls, then the Navamsa ascendant will be the sign corresponding. For example, if my Rasi ascendant falls into the Pisces pada of the Uttara Ashada, would it not be correct to say that then the Navamsa ascendant would be Pisces? In this way, I think that it is important that these padas each ruled by a planet clearly have a Sign, otherwise how could one distinguish 1st Jupiter or Saturn padas from the 2nd ones? 1st pada corresponds to Sagittarius (Jupiter), 2nd to Capricorn (Saturn), 3rd to Aquarius (Saturn), Pisces (Jupiter) and then when the next nakshatra starts we have Mars, Venus, Mercury and Moon, corresponding to Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer in the Navamsa chart. I believe this is the way it works, but I could be mistaken... Best wishes, Rui. vattem krishnan <bursar_99 wrote: Dear Mr Rui, Uttarshadha falls in the sign of 3.20 degrees in sagittarus(after moola and p.shadha(26.40 deg).Remaining 3 padas i.e 10deg are in capricorn along with sravan(moon) and Dhanishta (mars) accountinf for balance 20 deg of capricorn..Refer any book on nakshtras like Dennis.M.harness etc. krishnan P.S:no other signs other than these two signs please RPM <rupamede wrote: Hi again, Correct padas for Uttara Ashada are: 1. Guest guest
Dear mr Rui, Calculation of navamsas is just based on elements like:1,5,9(count from Aries)2,6.10,count from capricorn, for airy signs count from libra(3,7.11) and watery signs(4,8.12) from cancer As 3.20 degrees refer to pada of nakshtra, the ascendant in pisces will fall in pisces as 9th navamsa and degrees will be 26.40 to 30 degrees which always refers revati 4th pada. As far as signs are concerned, like saturn ,mars, venus, jupiter and mercury having two signs, you need to go by degrees of the planets assignes to find navamsa sign and where ever that planet in navamsa sign gets earmarked, based on degrees that nakshtra, sign and lord of the sign is appropriate. The basis of nakshtra pada refers to 3.20 deg and is 1/9th of the sign, the location of planet in a sign and the stars and star lords will be come significant. iam sur both of us are on the same undersranding. where as what you have mentioned below is more clear if degrees are provided to find signs of nakshtras in navamsa."I think that depending on exactly where the ascendant falls, then the Navamsa ascendant will be the sign corresponding. For example, if my Rasi ascendant falls into the Pisces pada of the Uttara Ashada, would it not be correct to say that then the Navamsa ascendant would be Pisces? krishnan RPM <rupamede wrote: Dear Mr Krishnan, I was referring to the subdivision of one nakshatra into padas.
